PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers rediscovered their defense Friday night. Their winning touch, too. The Sixers limited the Atlanta Hawks to 39.2 percent shooting en route to a 99-80 victory, snapping a five-game losing streak. Evan Turner scored 21 points and Thaddeus Young had 18 points, 11 rebounds and five steals for the Sixers (13-14). Jason Richardson added 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, and Jrue Holiday, playing his first game after missing the previous four with a sprained foot, had 11 points and seven assists. "We were really just trying to come out here and get a win," Turner said. "We're trying to grow and mature -- just keep them down when you have a lead." The Sixers limited the Hawks (15-9) to their second-fewest points of the season, in sending them to their second straight loss. It was also the third-fewest points by a Sixers opponent this year, and the fewest in the last 17 games. In addition, it was the worst field...

Doug Collins was in a tough spot on Friday night, and he ended up committing to providing Big Macs for over 18,000 76ers fans as a result. The Sixers, like many other basketball teams, have a promotion where fans in attendance for home games receive a free Big Mac if Philly scores over 100 points in a game. The Sixers were up 99-80 on the Atlanta Hawks with about 24 seconds left...
Andrew Bynum is either the slyest comedian around, having tons of laughs at our expense, or he really is just wired a little weird. Bynum showed up at the Philadelphia 76ers’ game against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday with his infamous afro braided into a less flamboyant ‘do. Although the would-be Sixers center is no closer to returning to the court — the only medical update...
Andrew Bynum hairwatch 2012 has its latest update. The Philadelphia 76ers center addressed reporters on Friday and was seen sporting a new ‘do. Bynum decided to tie down his ‘fro into two french braids that give him a Snoop Dogg/Allen Iverson look. The reason for the change? “French braids, man. I got tired of the ‘fro,” he told reporters. Well that’s just a shame...
BRAID IT UP
Andrew Bynum’s return to the court has been pushed back more times than Dr. Dre’s Detox album. The saga began back in October, when Bynum was diagnosed with a simple bone bruise in his left knee. The injury wasn’t supposed to be serious, and it was reported that he was being held out of preseason games on an indefinite, precautionary basis. As the regular season crept...

Andrew Bynum's long-awaited debut for the Philadelphia 76ers is still a distant goal, but at least Bynum is progressing in the right direction. According to ESPN, Bynum can begin rehabbing his injured knees. He said he was cleared to...
Andrew Bynum’s Hair has been out of the news for too long — or, at least too long in his eyes — so practically on cue, the injured center showed up to the Wells Fargo Center Friday evening rockin’ some sweet French braids. So, how do we know they’re not cornrows? Because the AP’s Dan Gelston asked:
@the700level I asked him about his “cornrows.” He said it’s French...
