The Cavaliers may have taken the blame for killing a potential Dwight Howard-to-the-Nets trade, but it doesnt appear as if the Nets are mad at them. According to several tweets from Yahoo Sports, the Cavs have had discussions about sending veteran forward Antawn Jamison to the Nets in a sign-and-trade transaction. Sources familiar with the talks confirmed the report with FOX Sports Ohio. Jamison, 36, has spent the past two-and-half years with the Cavs. He is an unrestricted free agent and said at the end of season that he would not be back. It is not yet known what the Cavs would receive in return. What is known is the Nets have been drastically reshaping the roster just in time for the move to Brooklyn for the 2012-13 season. On top of re-signing All-Star guard Deron Williams, they added guard Joe Johnson in a trade and kept starting small forward Gerald Wallace and center Brook Lopez, each of whom entered the summer as free agents. The Nets have also picked up European forward Mirza Teletovic and veteran guard Jerry Stackhouse via free agency. However, the Nets were unable to consummate the rumored deal for the Magics Howard, which would sent forward Kris Humphries, cash, a first-round pick and several others to the Cavs. Instead, the Cavs supposedly backed out, keeping Howard with the Magic (for now) and Lopez as the Nets most valuable big man. Like Jamison, Humphries is an unrestricted free agent. Sources say the only way the Nets would sign him is if they are doing it for another team. The Nets are also said to be aggressively shopping second-year guard MarShon Brooks to clear space on the salary cap. Follow Sam Amico on Twitter @SamAmicoFSO
