Timofey Mozgov is primarily remembered for one thing, and it isn't particularly positive -- he was absolutely obliterated by Blake Griffin. Mozgov was also a key piece in the New York Knicks' massive trade package that facilitated the deal for disgruntled Carmelo Anthony. He's had a tumultuous NBA career thus far, but he's very, very tall and still on the upward trajectory of his career.   Maybe he just needs a change of scenery. Matthew Jussim of Sports World Report speculates a potential sign-and-trade between the Denver Nuggets and the San Antonio Spurs may be in the offing, which would involve the 26-year-old Russian center and restricted free agent Gary Neal.   According to ESPN.com, Robinson signed a two-year deal with the team and they also could work out a sign and trade with center Timofey Mozgov, as the Kings and Spurs are interested in him. The Spurs are one of the finalists for Greg Oden and if they miss out a trade could go down, as they have shown they are not going to sign restricted free agent Gary Neal.   This reported deal is contingent on a few things: Neal accepting a role in a crowded Nuggets backcourt, including Nate Robinson, and San Antonio either whiffing on Oden or finding another suitable replacement for their final roster spot. The Spurs could also enter the regular season with a vacant roster spot, in case an intriguing buy-out candidate emerges during the season. Think Boris Diaw.   Mozgov averaged a scant 2.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in a career low 8.9 minutes per game last year. Denver played at a breakneck pace, only Houston averaged more possessions per 48 minutes, and Kenneth Faried, Kosta Koufos and JaVale McGee soaked up the majority of his potential minutes. It wasn't an ideal situation for the plodding big fella.   Mozgov rarely strays from the paint, but he's quite effective when he does shoot; He connected on 65 percent of his shots in the restricted area last season, per NBA.com. Mozgov's large frame and slow feet make him a ripe target for opposing offenses, but that's a small caveat, especially if he inherits the Spurs' final roster spot -- a low-impact role, anyway.   There has been no other source citing any Spurs-Nuggets deal involving Timofey so take this report cautiously.   What do you think Spurs fans?
