ESPN the Magazine released their Ultimate Team Rankings and once again, the San Antonio Spurs rank among the top three teams among all major American sports.
The Spurs came in third overall behind the NFL's Green Bay Packers (2nd overall) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (first overall). Actually, the Spurs and Thunder are the top two teams in the NBA in the list.
The rankings are based on fan relations, bang-for-buck, ownership, affordability, stadium experience, players, coaching and title track. The Spurs breakdown is as follows: 1st in bang-for-buck, 1st in fan relations, 1st in ownership, 4th in affordability, 28th in stadium experience, 1st in players, 1st in coaching, and 7th in title track.
This high-rank is a testament to the Spurs, management, and overall approach to providing the fans a great experience on and off the court. From theme nights at home games to affordable seats, the Spurs create an outstanding experience for their fans to enjoy and keep them coming year in and year out.

What would you do with millions of dollars?
There are way too many ways to answer this question. I would never work again and spend the rest of my life playing poker every day. Other people would buy nice cars, house, boats, etc.
A lot of women would probably say, “I’d have so many nice pairs of shoes.” Those women are not alone.

Last offseason, San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker took to the air in a water-powered jet back which probably sent the team coaching staff cringing and now this offseason, TP is continuing to make the coaching staff and fans cringe by going out for a spin on an motor-powered skateboard sans helmet. Check it out.
Tony Parker on WhoSay
It should be noted...
There is no doubt San Antonio Spurs' Stephen Jackson is clutch especially when it comes to nailing key three-point shots. Ask the Mavericks how deadly Jackson can be in the playoffs in 2003.
For his career, Jackson shoots 33% from behind the arch and last season he connected on 30% of his three-point shots for San Antonio. So knowing Jackson's proficiency at hitting...
The last time we saw San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker on the court, he was playing for Team France at the 2012 Olympics and more recently, hitting half-court shots. But if you are aching to see more of TP hitting the hardwood then you're in luck.
In case you don't know, Parker is the spokesman for French fast-food restaurant, QUICK, and even cut a video for the...
When San Antonio Spurs' Stehpen Jackson is not adding to his personal moutain-sized collection of Air Jordans, he is in his hometown of Port Arthur, TX putting on his Academy Basketball Camp for area kids.
And if the following video shows anything is that he is just as passionate as a coach and a player.
Jackson, who also is the head coach of the camp, must have learned...
The offseason for the San Antonio Spurs has been relatively quite. Aside from adding guard Nando De Colo, the team stood pat re-signing players from last season and appear to be bringing mostly the same crew next season.
And while many feel the Spurs still need to tweak the team to contend with the other power teams in the NBA, the fact the team is remaining the same is fine...
Imagine having not picked up a basketball in weeks. Then when you finally get back on the court, you decide to not get your groove back by hitting some lay-ups or swishing some free-throws. Rather, you get going by shooting NBA three-point shots.
Sure, the weekend-baller may fail miserably but not if you're a pro-athlete like San Antonio Spurs' Stephen Jackson.
Once again, Tony Parker is doing things for the French that he refuses to do for the San Antonio Spurs. Late last week, the All-Star point guard was a participant in Boris Diaw's charity game in Bordeaux, France. The half time entertainment involved a bunch of kids shooting half court shots in an attempt to win a watch from Diaw (I don't get that part either). After...
Must be nice to be a highly paid, NBA star like San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker who gets to travel the world in the offseason.
Recently, TP was seen in the desert hitching a ride in a dune buggy (which might not sit well with Spurs fans and coaching staff) and getting a snapshot of him next to a camel. But now it seem his world tour of exotic places continue as he hit...
Losing has different effects on different people. For some, the taste of defeat is enough to make you give up and quit, but for those who consider themselves competitors, losing just makes you work even harder.
San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili has to have a bad taste in his mouth after failing to medal with his fellow Argentinians at the 2012 Olympics in London. They fought...
If there is any player on the San Antonio Spurs who does not shy away from the spotlight, it's Tony Parker.
He is quick to do tons of commercials hawking various items, put out "rap" albums, and was at one point married to actress Eva Longoria which also included that massive, spectacle of a wedding in France.
But it seems TP isn't shy about trying out...
As is no surprise around San Antonio, our lone professional sports franchise, the San Antonio Spurs once hailed from the ABA before a merger in the 1970s.
Now in 2012, who would know that the Spurs and NBA are still paying for that merger. While the NBA got four franchises, including the Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, Brooklyn Nets and the Spurs, the NBA has lost a boatload...
Gersson Rosas had been on the short list of the San Antonio Spurs for their assistant general manager vacancy that eventually went to Scott Layden.
This video is weird. Tony Parker is at a charity event for his best friend Boris Diaw and sees an opportunity to be, well, charitable.
There’s a kid trying to shoot a halfcourt shot for a prize, which turns out to be a watch. Thing is, the kid is like 10 and can’t physically shoot a halfcourt shot. In comes Tony, ready to save the day and take the shot for the kid, and makes...
Manu Ginobili may continue playing for Argentina.
