Needing some help in the post while San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan is day-to-day with injury, the Spurs made no hesitation in recalling Aron Baynes from the Austin Toros. Baynes played two games with the Toros. Although he struggled through his most recent game, in which he was injured, Baynes had a solid Toros debut, finishing with 30 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots on Friday against the Bakersfield Jam. The Australian big man should be able to help shore up the Spurs' frontcourt while Duncan is out. While Spurs coach Gregg Popovich will likely call on Boris Diaw to start next to Tiago Splitter, having Baynes alongside DeJuan Blair and Matt Bonner certainly couldn't hurt, especially against bigger teams like Minnesota, Brooklyn and Chicago coming up on the schedule. Baynes should be available for Wednesday night's game against the Timberwolves. Joseph selected to D-League All-Star game While Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Kawhi Leonard and Spurs coach Gregg Popovich are already set to head to Houston for the NBA's All-Star weekend later this month, they'll now be joined by Cory Joseph who has split time between the Spurs and the Austin Toros this season. Joseph will be representing the Toros at the D-League All-Star game on February 16 and is one of ten players selected for the prospects team. This season, Joseph is averaging 19.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. He is the Toros' leading scorer and second-leading scorer in the D-League.
