San Antonio Spurs
The Los Angeles Clippers were finally able to finish off the Memphis Grizzlies in seven games. Their reward for coming out of that slug fest? They get to play the well-rested San Antonio Spurs. The fact that it took the Clippers three chances to finish off the Grizzlies is going to be huge for the Spurs. Games 5-7 were grueling, not to mention the fact that Chris Paul and Blake Griffin both got hurt. With such a quick turnaround, there’s no way the Clippers will be at full strength, which is going to make this a tough series for them. Let’s look at the matchups.Starting 5 This point guard battle is going to be great to watch. Chris Paul plays on the bigger stage and got to show off his skills in this past series against the Grizzlies, so I think a lot of people are going to be expecting him to do well and carry the team against the Spurs, but I think we’re going to see an inspired effort from Tony Parker. I think TP is the better point guard, and he’s going to be out ...

SAN ANTONIO -- Clippers forward Blake Griffin said that he will play in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals Tuesday night against the San Antonio Spurs despite his sprained left knee not being healthy.
When told that Clippers Coach Vinny Del Negro had said during his interview session with the media after practice Monday that Griffin would be a game-time decision, the All...
Blake Griffin chuckled when he was reminded that the Clippers won Game 7 in a very un-Clipper way.
Instead of Lob City, the Clippers employed their own version of grit-and-grind, beating Memphis 82-72 in their best defensive performance of the season.
"This is the best defensive game we've played in a game of this caliber," Griffin said. "This needs to be a learning...
The Clippers sent the Grizzlies home this afternoon, winning game 7 - 82-72 in Memphis. During the post game celebration, Blake Griffin was photographed holding up a "baby" Chris Paul sign - sucking on a Clippers binkie! So awesome. If they win the next round, I bet they have a fat head of him in a diaper full of number 2.
How did the Clippers celebrate winning game 7 against the Memphis Grizzlies on their home court? With a discarded Chris Paul-pacifier sign some fan threw on the court! The Clippers bench was incredible, so good in fact that down the stretch, Blake Griffin was on the bench because Kenyon Martin was so locked in. Of [...]
MEMPHIS- The Los Angeles Clippers stepped up and fought through the pain and sunk the Memphis Grizzlies on their home court in a deciding Game 7 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinals series.

SAN ANTONIO It looked reckless, this shot Tim Duncan took. It looked awkward and flailing. It looked like he was hoping for a bailout call. It looked like it had no chance.
It looked a lot like something Blake Griffin would do, actually.
Except Duncan made it.
Duncan's sloppy falling layupy thing came with about six minutes left in the San Antonio Spurs' 108-92 win...
Four years ago today, the San Antonio Spurs and the New Orleans Hornets were in the middle of a seven game series that was both entertaining and not. Only one of their 2008 Western Conference Semifinal series was decided by less than ten points and more were decided by closer than 21 points with the home team winning every game except Game Seven, which the Spurs won in New Orleans...
2009 #1 pick Blake Griffin sat on the bench for most of the fourth quarter, while 2000 #1 pick Kenyon Martin won Game 7 for the Clippers (with a little help from Reggie Evans, Mo Williams, Eric Bledsoe, and, oh yeah, Chris Paul).
The much-maligned Vinny Del Negro deserves credit with sticking with his effective bench well into the fourth quarter, though it’s still...
Blake Griffin woke up Monday with his sprained left knee not feeling worse, but not really much better. Rest is the only remedy, a luxury the Los Angeles Clippers don't have, and doctors guess he might miss two weeks if this were the regular season.
Griffin? He says he will play in Game 1 on Tuesday night against the San Antonio Spurs.
Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro is making...
