Every morning, we'll give you five things from the night before in the NBA to start your day. 1:  San Antonio gets to rest The Utah Jazz gave it their best shot.  They really did.  And going into the series, some of the talk was about how the Jazz size could expose a weakness on the Spurs and give them more problems than an 8-seed should.  Ummm... no. The Spurs survived a Utah run last night to cut a 21-point lead down to four in the last minute, but they came up with the one play they needed to hold off the Jazz and complete the sweep. And in the oddest development of long-time NBA observers, the Spurs won by picking up the pace.   Don't be fooled by the silver-and-black jerseys and Tim Duncan still hanging around.  This team is neither old, nor slow.  Now they get to do the one thing Gregg Popovich spent the condensed regular season desperately looking for:  rest.  Good luck, next Spurs opponent 2:  The Clips may be waiting for them I'm not sure if the Clippers ...

Blake Griffin’s crazy steal and dunk before the buzzer

The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 87-86, the difference a great play by Blake Griffin to end the 2nd quarter. With the Clippers leading by 2 with 2.3 seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter the Grizzlies were taking the ball out underneath the basket. At worst Memphis would go into halftime only down by 2 points, but Griffin had other ideas...

Chris Paul's son does 'the Blake face'

The Los Angeles Clippers took out game three of their first round NBA Playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies; and Chris Paul's son showed off his acting skills in the post-game press conference. Here he is putting on Blake Griffin's game face:

Paul, Griffin are getting in sync

It's not where it needs to be, but it's getting better. The on-court chemistry between Chris Paul and Blake Griffin hasn't reached its full potential, but as the Clippers have gone deeper into the playoffs, the continuity has shown in key moments. "It's a lot better than it was at the beginning of the season, but it's a situation where we haven't had...

Chris Webber warns Blake Griffin to stop flopping so much (Video)

Blake Griffin may be one of the most physical and ferocious players in the NBA, but he’s developing a reputation for being a flopper. Chris Webber played with known flopper Vlade Divac on the Sacramento Kings, and he understands that’s not a reputation a player wants. That’s why he warned Griffin about flopping so much after the All-Star forward acted to get a call in his...

Chris Webber calls out Blake Griffin for Flopping

Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin had his best game of the playoffs but the talk after the game was about him flopping. During the game TNT broadcaster and former player Chris Webber called out Griffin for his acting. Weber went off on Griffin because a foul was called on the Memphis Grizzlies Marc Gasol when he went after a loose ball. Griffin made it look liked...

POTD 5/7/12: Blake Griffin on Hamed Haddadi

Individually, Blake Griffin had been having a rough go of things throughout his first three playoff games.  He’d struggled to score in the post, failed to hit from the outside, and contributed heavily to one of the worst free-throwing performances in playoff history.  Still, the Clippers had the advantage in the series, and a strong, 30-point showing from Griffin helped LA...

Chris Paul's son makes "The Blake Face" during press conference

Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul's son makes the face of Blake Griffin during press conference after the Clippers win over the Memphis Grizzlies, check it out:

Paul, Griffin injuries could be significant

It wasn't the worst-case scenario, but it's pretty close. Wednesday night in Memphis, the Los Angeles Clippers failed to close out the Memphis Grizzlies, losing by 12. But more importantly, the Clippers might be without their best two players. Blake Griffin sprained his left knee, and Chris Paul strained his right hip flexor in the second half of the Clippers' loss...

Chris Paul’s Son Makes Fun Of Blake Griffin’s Face

Chris Paul brought his son to the post game press conference after the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Memphis Grizzlies. Chris was discussing a specific part of the game and asked his son to imitate Blake Griffin’s game face. The kid did a spot on imitation of it and the crowd loved it. Thanks kid for creating a meme for us. The LA Clippers lead the series 2-1 against the Memphis...

Charles Barkley discusses Blake the flopper Griffin

Blake Griffin is a spectacular athlete. He's the greatest pure dunker since Shawn Kemp was a Sonic, his YouTube comedy videos are hilarious, and he's even got me respecting Kia Motors a little bit. His post game isn't quite there yet, but I think it'll come eventually, and he just went for 30 the other night before fouling out. But, he is also a pretty blatant flopper...
