1: Only One D in Texas
The Spurs have not been a defensive-minded team for a few years now. Gregg Popovich has successfully turned his team from a defensive, half-court team to one that gets up the floor and can score in a variety of ways -- using the 3-pointer as much as the hedged screen and roll (OK, there is no defensive equivalent to a 3-pointer as far as efficiency goes).
When San Antonio and Houston get together you expect a little bit of defense. Then again, Lin-sanity can change things. As can Tony Parker. Dallas was the only team with a "D" in Texas this evening.
Parker recorded his first career triple double with 27 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists. Jeremy Lin turned back the clock to March with a season-high 38 points and seven assists. Gary Neal had 29 points on 11-for-18 shooting. The two teams combined for 240 points in regulation.
