Marbury’s relations with the American press remain as frayed as ever — he turned down multiple requests to speak with SI.com unless he was guaranteed the cover of Sports Illustrated — but he’s never been more popular among the fans in China.
Marbury is actually doing very well in China. His team, the Beijing Ducks, are in the CBA finals against the defending champions, Guangdong Dongguan Bank. Last night, behind 23 points and 9 assists, from Marbury, the Ducks defeated Guangdong Dongguan Bank, 109 – 106, to take a 2 – 0 lead in the best of seven series. Oh, and I guess they call him Steven over there?

In Saturday night NBA action, the New York Knicks executed a nice double alley-oop in the fourth quarter after a steal by J.R. Smith. Smith made the initial alley-oop pass to teammate Iman Shumpert, who could made the easy layup, but instead tossed the ball back up to Smith to finish the play with a one-handed dunk.
Of course, this could be construed as the Knicks rubbing...
