While the management team of Andy Roeser, Gary Sacks, Gerald Madkins and Eric Miller will interview coaching candidates and offer a recommendation, Donald Sterling will ultimately be responsible for picking the next head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Sterling picked Vinny Del Negro in 2010 over management's recommendation of Dwane Casey.
Alvin Gentry previously coached the Clippers and is well-liked by the front office.
Brian Shaw and Lionel Hollins are also candidates, while Byron Scott could be the candidate that wins over Sterling.
Jeff Van Gundy and George Karl could also become an option for the position.
