Senior Steve Blake and freshman John Gilchrist got into a skirmish on July 2, 2002 during a pickup game following Gary Williams Basketball Camp. Or at least that was what folks that were in Cole Field House that day were saying, with no video evidence to support their claim. It took a mere 9 years for someone to finally release the fight tape. By no means did the short skirmish deserve a 9 year wait, but it is interesting nonetheless. Dime Magazine dug up an article from 2004, in which Eric Prisbell of The Washington Post wrote a feature on Gilchrist, who was a junior at the time, and mentioned the fight:
