The New York Knicks front line just lost a big piece to their hopes for making the playoffs.  According to Adam Zagoria, the team announced power forward Amar'e Stoudamire will be out indefinitely with a bulging disk in his back.  Head Coach Mike Woodson made the announcement during a media session before Monday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Woodson said Stoudamire would not be undergoing surgery to repair the disk, but will receive treatment for the injury.  Woodson added guys like Josh Harrellson and Jerome Jordan would be relied on to fill in for Stoudamire. “You don’t wish it on any player, especially Amar’e who is a big part of what we do,” Knicks coach Mike Woodson said. “All we can do is just hope that it’s not as serious as it may be and that he has a speedy recovery. But it gives our team, me as a coach an opportunity to look at other guys like Josh [Harrellson] and Jerome [Jordan]. Guys like that gotta step in and play. We can’t look back. We gotta continue...

Jeremy Lin had lunch Tuesday with the editor who was fired for writing a racially offensive headline following a Knicks loss last month. State of Lin

It wasn’t met with quite the same international buzz as the first time but Jeremy Lin and the New York Knicks returned to the Air Canada Centre, the stage that just over a month earlier saw Lin push the mania surrounding him and his story to unimaginable heights. It was then, when Lin hit a game winning three pointer to give the Knicks a 90-87 win, that...

And neither did you. It’s not uncommon for a coach to be optimistic and try to build his squad up with positive words. Melo gets what he needs to break out of slump

Following a 101-79 win over Detroit on Saturday, Carmelo Anthony had to answer the question that many struggling superstars have to answer when they are, well, struggling. Yes, the team is winning and things seem to be trending upward, but why aren't you producing more? Anthony has been a focal point of criticism for the Knicks ever since the blockbuster trade last February...

Unfortunately, Trautwig mispronounced the word "disc" with a different four-letter word that starts...

Carmelo Anthony says Mike Woodson holds players more accountable than Mike D’Antoni did

Like any other superstar, Carmelo Anthony gives off the impression that he doesn’t want to be told what to do. He wants to be “the guy” on whatever team he plays for, and it was obvious that he couldn’t be that guy when Mike D’Antoni was coaching the Knicks. D’Antoni’s offense — which is predicated on point guards running the show — never sat well with Carmelo....
