One Phoenix Suns center is sure to win over plenty of fans with his latest selfless move.

Suns big man Bismack Biyombo announced Friday that he will be donating his entire salary for the 2021-22 season toward building a hospital in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Biyombo is a native of the country and is making the donation in honor of his father, who died in August 2021.

“I want to give these people better conditions by building a hospital that would be named after my dad,” said Biyombo. “The reality is I wanted to give them something that can continue to serve people under his name.”

The 29-year-old center has carved out a decent role for Phoenix this season, especially when Deandre Ayton has been hurt, averaging 6.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game overall. He is making roughly $1.4 million in 2021-22.

It is always great to see NBA players giving back big to their communities, as we have seen several notable examples of in recent years. Biyombo is going above and beyond though with a seven-figure donation to those in need in his home country. That is awesome.
