On Jan. 25, Michael Beasley was reportedly handcuffed and immediately released after police cited the Phoenix Suns forward for speeding in Scottsdale.Beasley was initially pulled over after being clocked at 71 MPH in a 45 MPH speed limit zone, but then was later cited for driving with a suspended license, driving with an expired registration, and failure to display a license plate on the rear of the vehicle. However, the report states that the presiding officer decided to release Beasley shortly after putting him in handcuffs due to his cooperation.Beasley was cruising in his 2009 Mercedes without a license plate or a temporary tag in the window, according to the police report.Police also spotted a Taurus 45 caliber gun that was loaded in the back seat of Beasley's car. Beasley complied with the officer's request to remove the gun until the traffic stop was complete.Another officer eventually arrived on the scene to help administer a DUI investigation, but Beasley was found not to be impaired.According to Arizona Sports, Beasley was handcuffed at approximately 1:37 a.m. and escorted back to the patrol car. Once the officer determined that Beasley wasn't going to fit well inside the back of the car because of his height, and due to his cooperation during the stop, the officer opted against taking Beasley to jail. Beasley was sent on his way and cited instead. His car was impounded and will stay there for 30 days. The Suns star is slated to appear in court on Feb. 11.
