The Suns have signed point guard Frank Jackson to a contract ahead of training camp, per the RealGM transaction log.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the deal is non-guaranteed.
Jackson, 24, is 6-foot-3 and spent the past two seasons with the Pistons, averaging career-highs of 10.6 points and 53 percent shooting last year.
Originally drafted with the No. 31 overall selection out of Duke in 2017, Jackson played for the Pelicans in his first three NBA seasons. He missed all of his rookie year with a foot injury.
“The Suns lack depth in the backcourt,” wrote Kellan Olson of Arizona Sports. “Behind Chris Paul and Devin Booker are Cam Payne, Landry Shamet and two-way signing Duane Washington Jr.”
