Well there you have it San Antonio Spurs fans. The Spurs unveiled their alternate uniforms which they will wear for opening night and other games throughout the upcoming season.
Personally, I am not a fan of them. They could have done a much better job (maybe a pin-stripe look) but this looks like some D-League jersey. Project Spurs' Trevor Zickgraf mentioned the shorts are nice (which I agree) but other than than, this new jersey fell flat.
It is too simplistic a look and doesn't "pop" like other NBA team's alternate uniforms like Miami's all black look.
OK Spurs fans time to chime in. What do you think about the new alternate uniforms?
BEST OF MAXIM
Alternate uniforms have been hot for a while. Teams make a ton of money selling new jerseys to fans who already own team jerseys. No team is immune. Not even the Spurs.
San Antonio unveiled these... things... yesterday. They are plain. They are boring. They are... uniquely Spurs.
The Spurs have a reputation of being boring. Forget that they were one of the best...
If you mention the name “Chamberlain Oguchi” to San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker, Boris Diaw, and Nando De Colo, the three Frenchmen might have some memories regarding that name.
During the London 2012 Olympics, Oguchi lit France up with 35 points, 24 from behind the three point line, in a close game that France barely won.
Now it seems that same player who scored...
On November first, the San Antonio Spurs will see the Oklahoma City Thunder for the first time since being bounced from the Western Conference Finals. They’ll also debut a new alternate uniform, which is grey… among other things.
As you can see, this new Spurs uniform is like no other uniform in the NBA… mostly because it doesn’t feature any lettering on the front, and...
THE SAN ANTONIO SPURS!!! Maybe it’s not THE worst, but it’s pretty freaking bad, just take a look at their 2012-2013 alternate jersey: I have no other words besides: HORRIBLE – TRASH – YMCA JERSEY – GOODWILL FEATURE JERSEY – POS – Do I need to go on? Here’s what Rick Pych, Spurs Sports [...]
This offseason has been a whirlwind for San Antonio Spurs' Stephen Jackson. Not only has he been heading his own basketball camp, and fitting in some training, he has also been gearing up for the release of his new rap album, "Jack Of All Trades."
Well "Stak5" has begun promoting his new album and is chronicling each step. His first stop is South Carolina...
Hey, they can’t magically make the players younger, so might as well do what they can to make them look younger. The San Antonio Spurs unveiled an alternate uniform today that is sure to be popular with the kids out there. The team wisely chose to use two of their younger stars, in Danny Green [...]
This past weekend was the NBA 3X event in Sao Paulo, Brazil. NBA 3X is a global program put on by the NBA to promote the game around the world.
The Spurs’ Tiago Splitter was in his home country helping with the festivities. Splitter is increasing his role as a Brazilian ambassador of the NBA. He seems very excited about the league extending his reach to South America and...
San Antonio Spurs training camp is almost here but that still means we have to wade through the doldrums of the NBA offseason for a bit longer. All this means is random posts to satisfy your thirst for all things Spurs.
So with that, here's a full episode of Tony Parker's French cartoon "Baskup" featuring Parker, his basketball team, a Chuck Norris look-a...
The San Antonio Spurs unveiled their new alternate jerseys yesterday and it was received with mixed reviews from fans throughout the NBA. However, many feel these new jerseys fell flat and some pointed out they were just like the Spurs' stereotype - boring.
Yet despite many not liking this new look the Spurs have had, for the most part, great looking jerseys since the...
The Spurs will wear the new uniform in their home opener against the Thunder.
The San Antonio Spurs debuted their 2012 season alternate jersey on Wednesday. The design is much cleaner which seems to be a developing trend for NBA jerseys. The Knicks recently dropped their new design which also offers a cleaner palette. Perhaps the cleaner designs are making way for eventual ad space. Whatever the case, I’m [...]
Like every fall for at least the last four years, the San Antonio Spurs aren't really being talked about nationally with the other league heavyweights like Miami, Oklahoma City and the Los Angeles Lakers. It's fine, it's what happens and Spurs fans should be used to it. What the national media writes and broadcasts isn't fact. The hype around the Knicks last...
Both Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan are walk in HOFers. Both are champions and both priceless to their organizations. Few fans know that both players took significant pay cuts to help out their teams with structuring and the signing of other players. In return for their unselfishness and services provided, the Spurs and Celtics gave them “No Trade” clauses in their contracts...
The Spurs recently worked out Chamberlain Oguchi.
