ATLANTA -- The veteran Atlanta Hawks were business-like, the young Indiana Pacers were puzzled, slumping in their chairs after a 20-3 Hawks run nailed down an 89-86 win Wednesday night. Jeff Teague scored five of his 15 points in the last minute of the game, and Lou Williams eluded multiple defenders to put the Hawks ahead for good. "Five minutes left to go, all of a sudden they seemed like they were on fire," Roy Hibbert said softly. "We needed a stop and they got open dunks." The Pacers and the Hawks, alternately hot and cold in the second half after a fast-paced first half, dueled to the wire. "It's just a heck of a win for our group," Hawks coach Larry Drew said. "Guys were really flying around and you could see the energy pick up." The Pacers scored 18 consecutive points in the third quarter to break open what had been a one-point Atlanta lead at the half -- 51-50 -- and take a 77-65 lead into the fourth quarter. To that p...

Hawks' Drew continues to juggle lineup in win

ATLANTA When the buzzer sounded in Philips Arena Wednesday, Larry Drew turned with two clenched fists, looked to his assistant coaches and gave a sharp nod of the head. It worked. T.I. Will Provide Color Commentary During Tonight’s Hawks Game

Everyone, there’s been a change of plans: forget everything I said in this week’s “Games To Watch” post and tune in to Fox Sports South to watch the Heat take on the Hawks at 7:30 Eastern tonight.  Not because it’s going to be a good game (the way Miami has been playing lately, it’s kind of doubtful), but because Atlanta (t)rapper T.I. will be taking Dominique Wilkins’...

Jeff Teague hit consecutive 3-pointers as the Hawks rallied from a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter. But Josh Smith, on an awful night, missed two free throws with...
