We Talk Fantasy Sports:
The Philadelphia 76ers might be without Thaddeus Young until the All-Star Game and even longer if he has a complete tear of his hamstring. Young had a terrific December, averaging 16.5 points a game while grabbing 6.7 rebounds a night. His defense was superb tallying nearly 2 steals and a block night in and night out. He struggled in January to just 14.4 points per game but picked it up on the board with over 7 per night. After dropping 23 points on the Sacramento Kings and grabbing 15 rebounds, Young was limited to just 15 minutes on Monday night after suffering a hamstring injury. The damage is yet to be known but he did undergo an MRI and we will update you as soon as we know the results. What we do know is that he will miss a handful of games in a best case scenario so owners need to prepare to be without him. Obviously the biggest gains will be seen by Spencer Hawes (50% owned Yahoo, 40% owned ESPN, 62% owned CBS) who was averaging just under 30 minutes per game in January. During a month in which the 76ers won just 4 games, Hawes scored 11 points per game while grabbing 6.7 rebounds & adding 2 blocks. Spencer finished last nights contest with 21 points and 14 rebounds while attempting 17 shots which is something fantasy owners should LOVE to see from Hawes.Lavoy Allen (2%, 0%, 7%) is the other Sixer to see an increase in fantasy value. Allen played 30 minutes last night scoring 10 points, grabbing 6 rebounds and adding 3 blocks! In just 20 minutes a night in January, Allen managed to still grab 5 rebounds while dropping 6.4 points per contest.I would love to see the 76ers go small with Dorrell Wright playing some PF at times. He could provide fantasy owners with the 3-ball while stretching the other teams PF out to the perimeter opening the paint for Jrue Holiday, & Evan Turner. In Boston, Jared Sullinger will miss the remainder of the season so Brandon Bass (42%, 14%, 29%) is a nice replacement for Thaddeus Young. His production hasn't been that great in the last 3 contests but he did play 96 minutes which in time will turn into statistics and fantasy value. As mentioned in our weekly fantasy basket ball post, Taj Gibson (26%, 33%, 62%) should see a boost in minutes over the next week with the Chicago Bulls starers, Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer, nursing injuries. He can provide your team with some nice rebounding numbers. How do you plan on replacing Thaddeus Young? Leave a comment or tweet us @WeTlkFntsySprts !

The Philadelphia 76ers received some disappointing news yesterday. Small forward Thaddeus Young will miss at least three weeks with a strained hamstring. He has a Grade I strain, which is the lowest grade a player can suffer, but it will still keep him on the bench for quite some time.According to Bob Cooney, beat writer for the 76ers, the injury was announced yesterday afternoon...
Thaddeus Young is out three weeks with a hamstring strain. Sixers coach Doug Collins hinted Monday night that Young would "be out for a while."
An MRI revealed Tuesday that Young suffered a Grade 1 strain, the least severe, 76ers beat writer Jason Wolfe reported. A Grade 3 strain would have been a complete tear of the muscle.
So Young is on the better side of his...
As if the Sixers front line wasn’t thin enough, they will now have to play 3 weeks without starting power forward, Thaddeus Young who is averaging 15 points and 7.4 rebounds a game. He has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer:
A 76ers spokesman said that forward Thaddeus Young has a Grade One left hamstring strain and will likely...
If Thaddeus Young is back three weeks from Tuesday, he will have missed seven games for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Tweet Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard Nick Young is a player who at some point will probably drive you crazy if he’s on your favorite team. More often than not it’s because of his tendency to sometimes have less-than-desirable shot selection. Every now and then he will break out a spectacular play though, like this [...]

Since Philadelphia 76ers center Andrew Bynum hasn't played an official NBA game this season, we haven't exactly had a lot of Bynum content to go on.During Friday night's game against the Sacramento Kings, Andrew was sitting on the 76ers bench and Comcast Sportsnet California cameras caught Bynum's new hair-do: (Courtesy of SB Nation)
Philadelphia 76ers guard Jason Richarson will undergo season-ending knee surgery next week, according to Yahoo Sports' Marc Spears.
J-Rich will be out six to nine months after the surgery.
Richardson played 33 games, averaging 10.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and .4 blocks in 28.4 minutes. This is a huge boost to Nick Young, who has been on a tear in...

The Philadelphia 76′ers have had an uneven season. The center piece was supposed to be Andrew Bynum but he has yet to suit up for a game this season. Right now he’s targeting after the All-Star break – next week- that doesn’t mean there still isn’t some excitement happening. check out this 360 dunk from Nick Young during Sixers vs. Magic.
PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia 76ers won a game they were "supposed to win" Monday night, in the estimation of coach Doug Collins. But they lost a player they could ill afford to lose. Spencer Hawes had 21 points and a season-high 14 rebounds, as the Sixers sent the short-handed Orlando Magic to its 10th straight loss, 78-61, at the Wells Fargo Center. But the Sixers...
The biggest fear of Andrew Bynum's doctor is that he suffers a bone bruise.

The Indiana Pacers' lengthy home winning streak is still alive, but the Central Division leaders now have to figure out how to get a 'W' outside of Indianapolis.
Indiana will try to get that done Wednesday night when it concludes the NBA's only back-to-back-to-back set against a Philadelphia 76ers team that will be without Thaddeus Young for a while.
Just one day after the Philadelphia 76ers lost Thaddeus Young for about a month, the Los Angeles Lakers will be without Pau Gasol for at least the month of February. Last night against the Brooklyn Nets, Gasol went to jump to defend a Brook Lopez shot, but got no lift and went down grabbing his foot. He stayed in the game the next possession, but you could tell he was injured. The...
