Philadelphia 76ers guard Thaddeus Young has landed himself on the Boston Celtics’ wish list, according to Yahoo! Sports, despite the fact that he’s miles out of Boston’s pay range.Philadelphia 76ers free-agent forward Thaddeus Young is still hopeful of re-signing with the team if he receives a fair offer. Young has a strong relationship with Sixers coach Doug Collins. The Celtics and Denver Nuggets are also interested in Young.Acquiring Young would certainly have to come via a trade, since he’s a restricted free agent destined to earn far more than the $3 million Boston will be able to offer. Perhaps a sign-and-trade centering around Glen Davis, who’s reportedly being dangled as bait, would work. But if Davis couldn’t get along with Doc Rivers, methinks he’d have some real difficulty playing for Doug Collins, who’s almost as demanding as a Nike sweatshop manager (just on a “slightly” different scale). Same goes for Boston...

Rajon Rondo Trade Rumors Shouldn’t Have Celtics Fans Concerned

Fantasy NBA 2011-2012: Where Does Rajon Rondo Rank Among Top Point Guards?
Derrick Rose is absolutely dirty – and I mean that in the most complimentary way. He is definitely one of the most fun players to watch, but I he is also one of those guys that is better in real life than he is in fantasy. Sure, he's the reigning MVP and scores more than any other PG, but he's a bit light on the steals and he sacrificed a sky-high FG% (for a PG) in...
Celtics Need Signature Quick Start More Than Ever, As 2011-12 Schedule Is Treacherous in Second Half
The Celtics have made a habit out of quick starts during the "Big Three" era. With the NBA announcing its condensed 66-game schedule on Tuesday, it's incredibly clear that they'll need another one of those quick starts more than ever this season. First, a little bit of history. In the four seasons since Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen came together in Celtic...

Jermaine O’Neal vows to help more offensively
Celtics big man initiation: Get in an altercation with Zaza Pachulia.Playing with Jermaine O’Neal last season, at least offensively, was sometimes like playing four-on-five — or rather, it was like playing five-on-five, if one of the five players was a six-time NBA All-Star whose legs simply couldn’t afford him the lift to affect a game on one end of the court.Due...
The Boston Celtics acquire Brandon Bass from the Magic

I'm healthy!
Boston Herald:
“I believe that conditioning-wise, I can go a lot further,” he said. “You can’t control injuries and things like that, but physically, if it comes down to pure strength — quads, legs, core, upper body — I’m a hell of a lot stronger.”
“I’ve been challenged all my life,” said O’Neal. “This ain’t nothing new. If I was afraid...
