The latest craze is unquestionably Baauer’s Harlem Shake. The phenomenon has swept through college basketball, where everyone from top-ranked teams to student sections have shown off their best moves this season. Jimmie Johnson and his crew celebrated with the Harlem Shake after winning the Daytona 500. The dance has quickly overtaken NASCAR now too.
The newest video to hit the web might be the best. Or at least the most irreverant. We give you the Harlem Shake Miami Heat edition. [Continue Reading]
Game Over. Hate ‘em or love ‘em that’s the best Harlem Shake I’ve seen to date. To be quiet honest I don’t even know what the Harlem Shake is, but the Miami Heat owned it. From Birdman to Mario to King Lebron. Brilliant.

As succinctly pointed out by The Big Lead, this truly signifies the demise of SportsCenter. The fact that the geniuses behind the scenes of ESPN’s SportsCenter felt compelled to explain exactly what the Harlem Shake craze is all about to the halfwits and mouth-breathers who still loyally tune in to the show illustrates perhaps better than anyone could possibly articulate just how...
Fashionably late to the Harlem Shake party, The Miami Heat just released their rendition of the viral dance craze. There is a lot to love about this specific edition with LeBron rocking his “King” gear, DWade sporting the bear head (in a possible shout-out to Kanye/Chi-Town?), Bosh acting his regular fool self and Mario Chalmers in actual Mario get-up. Just when you thought...
Juwan Howard was on the floor for the final moments of the win that clinched last season’s NBA championship for the Miami Heat.
Turns out, that might not have been his last game as a pro.
The Heat brought Howard back on Saturday, signing the 40-year-old power forward to a 10-day contract. It will be his 19th NBA season, and he’s expected to be with the team on Sunday when Miami...
MIAMI Its a winning streak that -- this week -- has been on life support.Entering a three-game homestand, the Miami Heat had won 10 in a row while outscoring foes by an average of 13.7 points. They had won road games over formidable foes Oklahoma City, Atlanta and Chicago by 10, 13 and 19 points. So entering this week, you could say the Heat were playing their best ball since the...
In recent weeks there have been rumors that LeBron James and his fiance Savannah Brinson were possibly on the outs since she was strangely absent from a pair of pretty big events (All-Star game and White House visit).
If the way the two were at the Motown Revue Charity Event is any indication those rumors could be a bit premature.
Word is that the two were very affectionate...
While the sports world has been set abuzz by the Harlem Shake video that LeBron James and the Miami Heat recently released, apparently others are trying to compete. Courtesy of Sports Crackle Pop, we have video of TNT’s Inside The NBA crew trying their hand at the popular dance.
Watch as Shaq and Charles get down in a way only they can.
Previously here on TNLP, we featured a couple of posts that illustrated Lebron's recent pre-game ritual of dunk contest-worthy throwdowns (here and here, respectively). In a dizzying display of windmills, reverses, and off-the-backboard jams, Lebron James exhibited his dunking prowess yet again before the Heat-Grizzlies game.. Scope some of these slams in the video below:
The Miami Heat have signed 40-year-old Juwan Howard to a 10-day contract. Howard, who won an NBA championship with the Heat last season, averaged just 1.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 28 games.
According to NBA:
The Miami HEAT announced March 2nd that they have signed forward Juwan Howard to a 10-day contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Juwan is a key...
The Harlem Shake is sweeping the nation like the Beatles, Swine Flu, and Planking once did. Now it’s legit thanks to the world champion Miami Heat doing their own version. This is maybe the best version ever. Watch below.
Dwyane Wade scored 22 points, LeBron James shook off his worst shooting night of the season to hit a key 3-pointer in the final half-minute, and the Miami Heat extended their winning streak to 13 games by beating the Memphis Grizzlies 98-91 on Friday night.
James scored 18 points on a season-worst 4 for 14 shooting, plus added 10 assists and eight rebounds. Shane Battier scored...
Look I am not going to lie, I do not understand this fascination with the "Harlem Shake" dance craze. However, it seems to be taking the Internet by storm and everyone is getting in on the act including the Miami Heat.
As in other "Harlem Shake" videos, Chris "Birdman" Andersen comes into the Heat locker room, flapping his arms like a bird when suddenly...
Video: Put a fork in it, the Heat kill the shake.
MVP candidate Tony Parker went down with an ankle injury last night, and if we have learned anything about Spurs' coach Greg Popovich, we probably won't see Parker again until the playoffs. The Spurs will be fine, as they have already stacked up a nice record for themselves (best in the NBA to be exact) and are generally excellent at plugging in pieces to combat the wear and...
