Found October 16, 2012 on Celtics Life:
1st time all star? Comeback player of the year? Top 25 player in the NBA? How about all three. Jeff Green is back and his resurgence is as important to the Celtic's future as is Rondo's steady climb to become and maintain the title of the league's best playmaker. What is even more important is their connection and how they are able to make eachother better. The duo of Green and Rondo is maximized could become a league leading one-two punch with Courtney Lee serving as a dark horse or supporting man. The days of defense first and Paul Pierce massaging the ball, taking time off the clock and running the half-court offense are over. With Rondo, Sullinger, Green and Lee, the Celtic's have a brand new green wave in place and the only force that can stop it is ego. If it comes to the Eastern Conference Finals and Doc is still letting Pierce hold onto the ball and rim out flat footed threes while Kevin Garnett exhausts all his energy inside working for the hardest two point...

Assistant Coach Rajon Rondo

We know it's bound to happen once in a while. The head coach has a player's back and the ref has enough and out goes the coach. It's happened a few times with Doc and will probably happen again. Last night, Doc put his coaches in that position by staying in the locker room after the half. Word is that Doc just wanted to watch the presidential debate but that's...

Celtics formed Wolfpack overseas

Jason Terry will be posting an online diary up on ESPN Boston. Here's a snippet from his first entry: The funniest moment on the trip was we were attracting a lot of attention because of KG's [Kevin Garnett] size. He's so tall that they recognized him easily. We were getting bombarded by pictures. So all of sudden, KG takes the camera from one lady and started taking...

Preseason Gives Celtics Bench a Chance to Shine

To paraphrase Allen Iverson “Preseason... we talkin bout preseason... not a real game but preseason.” That is what we are relegated to; fawning about the preseason because of last year's shortened season and even shorter preseason.  It affected the Celtics the most, leaving them running on fumes and little to no help from their bench.  A bench who found itself persona non...

Comments From the Other Side - Sixers 10/15

Well, that was unpleasant to watch. Hopefully the Celtics got that all out of their system and hopefully Doc can start defining roles a bit more so that they can get into a groove before the start of the season. Sixers fans aren't all that bad a bunch. They don't seem to have the vitriol that say Knicks fans or Heat fans or Lakers fans have. My favorite comment was the...

Jason Terry and Dionte Christmas lose to 5 women in a pick-up game

The NOC has been doing behind-the-scenes videos with new Celtic Jason Terry. In the most recent edition just released, JET and Dionte Christmas play a game of pick-up basketball against 5 female basketball players. Hopefully this wasn't the reason Christmas got waived from the team!

Preseason: Sixers top the Celtics 107-75

The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Boston Celtics 107-75 during exhibition play Monday night at the Wells Fargo Center. The Celtics slogged their way to their third preseason loss in four outings. Paul Pierce scored a team-high 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting, but also had four turnovers. For the Sixers, Spencer Hawes put up 17 points and eight rebounds in 17:36 off the pine, while...

Celtics Fall to Nets 97-96

The new look Nets came to town to face-up against the Boston Celtic’s at home in the TD Garden. Brooklyn entered the Garden as one of the most improved teams in the Atlantic Division and hope to compete for a division title. The Nets were able to hold onto their franchise player, Deron Williams by bringing in six time NBA All-Star Joe Johnson. The Celtics and their fans have gotten...

Celtics Live Blog: Kevin Garnett, C’s Entertain Deron Williams, Brooklyn Nets at TD Garden

8 a.m. ET: Any Bostonians with a diehard craving for live preseason basketball can finally get their fill when the Celtics host the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. Afterward, hopefully those fans can also get professional help. Kevin Garnett presumably will be back in the starting lineup after getting the night off Monday in the first game of a back-to-back set. Whatever other machinations...

Pregame routines going on the clock

Tired of its games starting late while players go through elaborate handshakes, chest bumps, hugs and other routines, the NBA is putting players on the clock. LeBron James can still do his chalk toss and Kevin Garnett can still skip over to the baseline and pound his chest to pump up the Boston crowd, but they'd better do it on time. Ninety seconds will be put on the clock...
