TEAMS: Memphis Grizzlies, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Hornets
The Hornets have acquired 20-year old shooting guard Xavier Henry from the Grizzlies in a three team deal also involving the 76ers. Henry played in 38 games (16 starts) last season as a rookie for the Grizzlies and he averaged 13.9 minutes, 4.3 points, 1.0 rebound and 0.5 assists per game. He has an ankle problem, so it’s going to be a little while before he’s ready to get back on the basketball court. The Hornets have sent the 76ers a second round pick in 2013 as their part of the deal. 24-year old power forward Marreese Speights has been sent from the Sixers to the Grizzlies as part of this deal and the Sixers received a 2nd round pick in 2012 from the Grizzlies. This was a good deal for the Hornets as Henry is a player with a lot of talent.

NBA roundup: Zach Randolph, Manu Ginobili out awhile
The Memphis Grizzlies were the surprise of the NBA last summer, riding Zach Randolph's broad shoulders to within one win of the Western Conference finals.
