On Monday night, the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Boston Celtics in game 2 on the NBA Semifinals, 82-81.  The game was close up until the final buzzer, both teams simply would not quit.  If you are a basketball fan, this is one hell of a series to watch.

The Sixers played a tighter game, but both games have been a run and gun type offense.  Both games have been decided by one point.  This series is a nail biter, and quite frankly I can not wait until Wednesday night!

Here are some quick hits from game 2:

  • Jrue Holiday led the Sixers with 18 points. Holiday also had three assists and 2 rebounds. Holiday has been one of the key pieces is this Sixer team.
  • Evan Turner- Evan has been proving himself night in and night out.  Turner had 10 points, 5 take aways, and 6 rebounds.
  • Andre Iguodala- I really don't want to mess this up, but Iggy has been coming up big.  Iggy was second on the Sixers in points with 13, but his defensive play, and clutch shots have been what is really sticking out.
  • The Celtics "Big Three" combined for 39 points. Paul Pierce had 7, Kevin Garnett had 15, and Ray Allen had 17.
  • Rajon Rondo had only 8 points, but his 13 assists and 7 rebounds is what kept the game tight.
  • The series is now tied, 1-1. Now, the series is heading to Philadelphia.

Game 3 is on Wednesday night, at the Wells Fargo Center.  The game is at 7:00 on TNT, and can be heard on 97.5 the Fanatic.  The city of Philadelphia is ready for the 76ers playoff run, are you?
