By scoring 30 points on 11-15 from the floor in a 117-104 victory over the Blazers, LeBron James established a new standard for individual efficiency in NBA basketball. As you’ve probably heard, this was LeBron’s sixth consecutive game of 30+ points on 60+ percent from the floor. Never before — not in the entire 67-year history of the National Basketball Association — has anyone been able to sustain such a scoring streak. Not Michael, not Wilt, not Shaquille, not Kobe (let that sink in for a moment). Never in my lifetime have I seen anyone play this sport at the level that LeBron James is playing it at this very moment. That’s the only way I can put into words what he is doing. Below are his highlights from Tuesday’s game as well as links to his complete highlights from the other five games composing the historic streak.
32/7/4 (12-18, 67%) vs Lakers
30/5/6 (9-11, 82%) vs Clippers
32/6/5 (11-18, 61%) vs Rockets
31/8/8 (13-14, 93%) vs Bobcats
30/8/7 (10-16, 63%) vs Toronto

5 Reasons Why LeBron James Could Be, Or Already Is, Better Than Michael Jordan
USA TODAY Sports, Getty Images
Former Orlando Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy made a very bold statement on the Dan Le Batard Show Wednesday, saying that LeBron James is already better than Michael Jordan.
Ever since James won his first title this past summer, the arguments of LeBron possibly being the GOAT have been continuing to rage on. This past week has shown a lot of...
2013 NBA All-Star Weekend: LeBron James Should Be In the Dunk Contest
Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images
LeBron James owes his fans one shot at the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. All of the all-time greats have participated in this contest. James even told TNT analyst Cheryl Miller in 2009 he would enter the contest, only to back out months later.
Is James simply afraid? I believe he is. James feels he has everything to lose and nothing to gain. The last time James...
Lebron James Says Don’t Compare Him to Michael Jordan
To even be in the Michael Jordan discussion you need at least three rings. Until then there is really nothing to talk about. Lebron is having a great stretch of games and he is totally locked into Optimus Bron mode, but none of that matters.
Bron’s legacy will depend on how much jewelry he has when it is all said and done.
From a practice sense, they aren’t the same type of player...
Jeremy Lin Teaches English In SportsCenter Commerical (VIDEO)
ESPN has released their latest promo video for This Is SportsCenter staring Houston Rockets guard Jeremy Lin. If you didn’t know this interesting fact, you must have been sleeping under a rock during last year Linsanity season; Jeremy Lin is a Harvard grad.
So it seems fitting that in this commercial, Lin would be teaching Jay Crawford how to use big words like “terminal velocity...
Jeremy Lin's 'This is SportsCenter' commercial
Houston Rockets guard Jeremy Lin went to school at Harvard (in case you never heard or have completely eliminated anything to do with Linsanity from your brain), and ESPN had that fact in mind with their latest 'This is SportsCenter' commercial.
Check it out:
As I frequently say, you can complain about a lot of things with ESPN (I know I do), but the 'This...
LeBron James makes NBA history, can he live?
LeBron James is having a history making season. He’s accomplishing things that we’ve never seen before as basketball fans. For an NBA record six games, LeBron has scored 30 or more on 60% shooting. There was a four game stretch during this same time frame that LeBron was at 75% shooting. Let that marinate for a second.
Check out a few highlights from Heat vs. Blazers

Michael Jordan Says He’d Choose Kobe Bryant Over LeBron James
In an interview with NBA TV (set to air Monday), Michael Jordan weighed in on a popular debate around the NBA – Kobe Bryant or LeBron James?
via Ira Winderman, Sun Sentinel:
“If you had to pick between the two, that would be a tough choice,” Jordan, now owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, told program host Ahmad Rashard, “but five beats one every time I look at it.”
“And...

Stan Van Gundy: “Lebron James is Already Better Than Michael Jordan”
I know what Stan Van Gundy was trying to say when he made this quote on the Dan Le Batard Show. It is very simple, he is simply saying at this point in his career, Lebron is a more skilled player than Michael Jordan.
That part of it is based in some truth, mainly because I don’t think we have ever seen anyone as skilled and physically gifted as Lebron. He is some crazy hybrid...

'King' of the 'Alamo City'
A team’s success is based on the system, and how well the pieces fit together, as they are on the level of talent. As the Lakers have shown on two separate occasions, simply getting a group of future Hall of Fame players does not necessarily ensure success (see 2003 – 2004 season and the current rosters).
As Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili’s time in a San Antonio Spurs...

The Miami Heat superstars are embracing a new passion. Ballet. Yes, ballet. Our friends over at Gossip Extra tipped us off to the new promotional campaign for the famed Miami City Ballet. The campaign centers around the downtown institutions’ shared 25th anniversary, and draws parallels between ballet and basketball. “What those ladies do, as far as...

B-Ball On The Brain! - The 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend is Almost Here!
Later on tonight (original post written 2/12) I'll be watching my Houston Rockets (as a fan I am

looking forward to seeing Jeremy Lin go Lin-sane on 'em as James Harden gives
them reason to fear the beard right now my...
Philly Loves Jrue Holiday (Part 2 of 4)
The Sixers have gone through their up's and down's all season long, including last night. Although the Wells Fargo Center struggles to fill up when the team hits the court, we still love them.
The most beloved Sixer may be the obvious choice, but it is true. If you are a Sixers fan, whether you go to the games or not, you love Jrue Holiday. Sure he is no Lebron James, sure...
Bill's Combine Research: Defensive Line I
We continue with Part 3 of a series so popular that two NFL scouts have subscribed this week. Leading off with BYU's potential-packed Ziggy Ansah, a native of Ghana who wanted to be the next LeBron James, here are 27 of the 54 defensive linemen who will be testing at the Scouting Combine.
