Welcome back Fantasy Basketball fans! It's been a long time since I did the championship edition of the Thomas Report.  I can't give a full on preview as free agency hasn't even happened yet, but I'm going to toss in my Bobcats preseason fantasy rankings. 
 
How's everyone feeling? I know that there's been a serious lack of NBA talk for quite some time and now we're getting OVERLOAD before the shortened season starts.  Once again, I'd like to extend the invitation for your opinions on how the season will unfold.  Who's going to be the top dog in the NBA? Who's going to be the top dog for the Bobcats? What's your prediction on how you're going to do? Are you a draft master, or a master of the waiver wire(like me!).

1)* DJ Augustin - I fully believe that DJ will, once again, lead the team in overall fantasy points. As long as he maintains his excellent assist-to-turnover ratio and increases his confidence like he did last season.
 
2)* Gerald Henderson - Healed up from surgery and working on his outside shot? We're looking at a guy that was already athletic and a great defender being MORE athletic with increased shooting range.  He has the possibility of becoming a premier player this season. 
 
3)* Kemba Walker - I know it's not a good idea to put our starter and back up back to back, BUT the fact of the matter is that this kid is going to score.  He's going to put up points in droves.  Especially coming off the bench against a second team, or running with DJ in small ball formation. 
 
4) Boris Diaw - This pick is contingent on the fact that we don't trade him.  You scoff at it now, but he was our #2 fantasy guy for all of last year.  Don't forget that he put up 2 triple-doubles last year.  He may not score a whole lot, but he facilitates and rebounds(sometimes).  
 
5)* Corey Maggette - This pick is contingent on the fact that we don't amnesty his montrosity of a contract and whether or not he thrives back in his natural position of SF.  In leagues where shooting percentage is tallied, you may want to run screaming away from him.

6) Tyrus Thomas - If he's healthy and getting consistent minutes, he's going to be a great asset to any fantasy team. He shoots high percentage shots, rebounds at a decent rate, and gets a large number of blocks.  Tyrus is well worth having.

7) Bismack Biyombo - He's got to get his contract situation figured out, but he's got a lot of work to do before he's a fantasy threat.  He could always be like Birdman and get double digit rebounds and almost 4 blocks a game and be a viable fantasy option that way.

8) Dante Cunningham - This, of course, means that he signs with the team.  He'll put up high percentage shots and get rebounds at a nice rate depending on his minutes.

9) Kwame Brown - See above.

10) DJ White - I hope like crazy, for his sake, that we trade Boris Diaw.  This will give Dubz the back up job that he deserves.  He's the most traditional PF that we've ever had on this team and I'd love to see him expand on the progress he made last season.  Good luck, Dubz, we're rooting for you!   

*Any one of the players with a (*), has a ranking that is completely interchangeable.  Maggette may find his chi and explode into the star, Henderson could collapse, Kemba could suck, and Boris Diaw could be the next Detlef Schrempf(BWHAHAHAHAHA).

As free agency happens and ends; I will post my sleepers and cellar dwellers for the season.
