Thunder Fans Hit $20K Half-Court Shots In Two Consecutive Games
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

In an electrifying display of skill and luck, two Thunder fans have amazed the crowd by hitting $20,000 half-court shots in consecutive playoff games.

The streak began with Oklahoma City resident Eli Walch stepping up to take the MidFirst Bank Half-Court Shot contest during Game 2 of the series against the New Orleans Pelicans

With one chance to make the shot count, Walch seized the moment and sunk the basket, setting off a wave of cheers and applause from the crowd. His win earned him a hefty $20,000 prize, which he revealed he plans to put towards his wedding, adding a heartwarming touch to the exciting moment.

This remarkable feat was made even more extraordinary by the fact that it was the second time a Thunder fan had accomplished the feat since the playoffs began. In Game 1, Jaylen O'Conner achieved the same feat, also netting himself $20,000 with a half-court shot.

O'Conner's journey to victory was filled with twists and turns, as he initially believed he had only one shot at making the basket. However, after being informed that he had more time, he persisted in his attempts, channeling his basketball skills until he finally nailed the shot of a lifetime.

The atmosphere at the Paycom Center was electric as O'Conner's shot sent the crowd into a frenzy, amplifying the excitement of playoff basketball.

Reflecting on his incredible win, O'Conner expressed his disbelief at the turn of events and his gratitude for the opportunity to win big. A former high school basketball player with aspirations of starting his own business, O'Conner's unexpected windfall provides a significant boost toward his entrepreneurial goals.

The consecutive victories by Thunder fans hitting $20,000 half-court shots serve as a testament to the thrilling and unpredictable nature of playoff basketball, capturing the imagination of fans and adding an extra layer of excitement to the postseason experience.
