OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Serge Ibaka tied his career-best with 25 points and grabbed a season-high 17 rebounds, and the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the San Antonio Spurs 107-93 Monday night for their 11th straight win. The Thunder took control with a string of 11 straight points during the third quarter, punctuated by Nick Collison's putback that made it 71-56 with 4:27 remaining in the period. On the next possession, Ibaka ripped away his third straight offensive rebound before heading toward midcourt and flexing his muscles. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich kept his starters parked on the bench throughout the fourth quarter, even as San Antonio cut an 18-point lead in half with about 5 minutes left. Tony Parker and Nando De Colo had 14 points apiece to lead the Spurs, who could have created a virtual tie for the best record with a win. Manu Ginobili did not play for the Spurs because he bruised his left quadriceps in Saturday's win at Boston. Russell Westbrook chipped in 22 poi...

Kendrick Perkins busts out odd follow through

Oklahoma City Thunder big man Kendrick Perkins doesn't step out for jump shots very often.  We found out why that is last night against San Antonio.  After his jump shot he almost went down on one knee with his hand strait up in the air.  Almost a cross between the Tebow and the Nation of Domination Fist Pump. Check out the shot in the video below. Check out our...

Thabo Sefolosha Clamping Down Defensively Helps Make Thunder Best Team in NBA

The Oklahoma City Thunder needed a jumpstart against the Spurs, so coach Scott Brooks went to the player he often turns to in times of need. And Thabo Sefolosha, as he often does, delivered. That is correct. Sefolosha, the 28-year-old guard who has started every game he has played in the last four seasons, yet whom few casual fans would recognize if you gave them a signed photo,...

Kendrick Perkins Strikes Hilarious Pose During Jump-Shot Follow-Through (Video)

It’s one of basketball’s most basic fundamentals: Hold your follow-through. Apparently Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins took that one to heart, and made it apparent in Monday night’s 107-93 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. Perkins only made two jump shots on the night, but one one of them he sure made that follow-through count, holding his pose in a manner we’re...

Thunder win early West showdown with Spurs

OKLAHOMA CITY -- It's December, and NBA statements in December get lost because of a number of things ranging from it's too soon to the fact it's still football season. But Monday, all things considered and there were a number of considerations to make the Thunder statement-ized as loudly and effectively as they possibly could in front of another sellout crowd inside...

Wade Boggs Shows Off Fantastic Dance Moves at Oklahoma City Thunder Game (Video)

Wade Boggs isn’t in the Baseball Hall of Fame because of his dance moves, but that doesn’t mean the 12-time All-Star can’t move and shake. Boggs recently took in an Oklahoma City Thunder game, and when the cameras came around to acknowledge the 2005 Cooperstown inductee, he decided to cut a little rug. Kendrick Perkins finishes shot with the patented “basketball card” pose

Just Perk not giving a f*ck about anything. Not sure what OKC’s Kendrick Perkins was thinking with this follow through against the Spurs last night.  Sure it’s a nice shot and all, but there was no need to admire it like it was a fade away jumper with a hand in your face type shot or anything incredible like that. Perk was probably just trying to keep up with the Wade Boggs...

Matchup of the Game: Spurs vs Thunder

The matchup of the game when Oklahoma City Thunder play host to the San Antonio Spurs is between Tony Parker and Russell Westbrook. In their last meeting, both players had great games with 14 points and 11 assists from Parker and 18 points, 5 assists, and 8 rebounds from Westbrook.
