Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook told reporters -- including USA Today -- that he expects to be on crutches four to five weeks following surgery on the torn meniscus he suffered during the first round of the NBA Playoffs.Beyond that, Westbrook said there's no real timeframe for his return. Yesterday, he spoke with the media for the first time since undergoing the operation.Westbrook sustained his injury when he collided with Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley. After a timeout was called, Beverley continued playing and lunged after the ball. The players ran into one another, and Westbrook suffered the significant knee injury.For the time being, Westbrook is focused on strengthening his leg. There's no basketball-related activity coming up in the near future, as he says that he needs to work his way off crutches and not rush the rehab process.Since Westbrook's injury, the Thunder are 3-3 in the playoffs.
