San Antonio Spurs center Tiago Splitter was seen waving politely to get the attention of teammate Gary Neal during Game 3 of the NBA Finals Monday night.
Neal didn't give him the ball, probably because he had the hot hand as he scored 24 points in 25 minutes in the Spurs' 113-77 blowout victory over the Miami Heat. Or, maybe Neal didn't want to see Splitter get stuffed by LeBron again.

SAN ANTONIO Pardon Tracy McGrady if he sometimes forgets to use we when talking about the San Antonio Spurs.Give San Antonio some credit of defending (LeBron James), McGrady said Wednesday as if he were talking about some team in the league other than his own.But McGrady actually is a member of the Spurs. The 16-year veteran signed with them as a free agent April 16 and now sits...
If you read my last post where I said San Antonio had absolutely ZERO chance at beating the Heat for the title, you might be wondering how I feel after a game three where the Spurs mopped the floor with every Heat player besides for Mike Miller (ironically, the only one that has a mop on his head). Here’s how I feel now: San Antonio has ZERO chance of winning this thing. Sorry...
THEY'RE ON FIRE
The San Antonio Spurs connected on an NBA Finals record 16 3-pointers, breaking the previous record of 14, in the Game 3 blowout over the Miami Heat on Tuesday night 113-77. Danny Green’s 7 makes increased his Finals’ 3-pointers total up to 16, a Spurs record for most made in an NBA Finals series. Watch Danny Green (7), Gary Neal (6), Kawhi Leonard (2) and Tony Parker (1) all...
Tony Parker suffered a hamstring injury in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday and his status is uncertain for Game 4 on Thursday.
Parker, who could not remember which play he hurt the hamstring, will undergo an MRI on Wednesday.
“Hopefully it’s nothing big and it’s just a cramping, or got tight on me,” said Parker, who returned briefly in the fourth after the injury. “It...
In the midst of the Spurs' 3-point onslaught in last night's Game Three victory over the Heat comes some troubling news from the San Antonio locker room.
Tony Parker left the game in the middle of the third quarter with an undisclosed hamstring injury. While he returned to the bench and to the game, Parker still said he felt some discomfort. He was scheduled to have an...
It was raining threes last night in San Antonio. The Spurs set a NBA Finals record in making 16 three pointers in route to their 113-77 victory. The Spurs now have a 2-1 series lead. The previous record of threes in a game was 14.
Most of the damage was done by two players Danny Green and Gary Neal. The two combined to make 13 three pointers with Green hitting 7 and Neal making 6...
This could change the whole complexion of the series if he is seriously hurt.

The Spurs were up by 10 late in the 2nd quarter but the Miami Heat made a run and tied up the score with 44 seconds left. Tony Parker then hit a three pointer. On the following possession Danny Green blocked LeBron James and the Spurs went on the fast break.
Duncan threw a perfect outlet pass to Tony Parker, who then found Gary Neal wide open on the wing. Neal nailed the three right...
It started off as we thought it might. Tim Duncan and Tony Parker are key in a San Antonio Spurs win while LeBron James had a triple double in a Game 1 that could've gone either way. Then things got weird.
First the Spurs got crushed by the Miami Heat, which isn't too weird, but what was weird is that the blowout wasn't a part of a "LeBron game" or...
For those of you that say that ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith is not a man of the people, you need to check out this photo of him with the San Antonio Spurs cheer team.
The photo was posted by Spurs cheerleading coach Raquel Garcia and Stephen appeared to be very pleased to take it:
- Since the 2-3-2 in the NBA Finals, the winner of Game 3 has won the series 92 % of the time (12-1). The Heat beat the Mavericks in 2011 but lost the series.
- The Spurs made 16 three pointers in Game 3 a NBA Finals record
- Danny Green 16 made three pointers are most of any Spurs player in the NBA Finals
- The 36 point loss by the Heat in Game 3 is the worst in Heat postseason...
Game Two was the kind of game good teams have nightmares about. The defense and principals of a team break down and it leads to an onslaught of highlights and talk that makes a player and a team doubt itself. Especially when the stakes are so high. The only thing a team can do to fight all this off is to respond the next time out.
San Antonio HAD to respond the next time out and...
