Originally written March 21, 2013 on Project Spurs:
When Tim Duncan came back from knee injury last month, he looked a little off, especially on offense.  In the five games in the month February after returning from injury, Duncan only shot 50 percent in one of six games and the jumper especially looked off.  In the month of March, Duncan is shooting 58 percent from the field and in the last three games he's been spectacular.   After Wednesday's win over the Warriors, Duncan discussed the return of his jumper, which he says isn't where he wants it to be yet. "My jump shot is coming back. It doesn't feel great, but it's going in a little bit. So, I'll take it," Duncan said. "I feel healthy, my body feels good and shots are going in." With 3:38 to go in the fourth quarter, the Warriors had pulled within four points.  That's when Duncan took over, Duncan then went on a personal 6-0 run to put the Spurs on top 98-88. After Steph Curry cut the lead to seven with a three, Duncan found Ginobili open for a three to put the lead back to 10.  Head coach Gregg Popovich said after the game that going to Duncan down the end was all part of the plan, Duncan and Ginobili's plan. "Timmy has his rhythm back. He's in great shape and down the stretch we went through him," Popovich said. "Manu and Timmy really decided to do that on their own and they did a great job of it." What was really impressive about Duncan's game last night, especially at the end of the game, was that he worked the block against Andrew Bogut.  While Bogut isn't back to pre-injury Bogut, he's still a really good post defender, so Duncan being able to score at will speaks well to how good his body is feeling.
