With the recent rash of knee injuries around the league (Lou Williams, Rajon Rondo), it was a scary sight on Saturday night when Tim Duncan collapsed after getting tangled with Martell Webster in the 2nd quarter vs. the Wizards and had to be helped by teammates to the locker room. For now, they are calling it a sprained ankle and sprained knee.
According to Spurs Nation:
Duncan had to be escorted off the floor with teammate DeJuan Blair under one arm and Stephen Jackson under the other. Television cameras later caught Duncan walking to the locker room on his own.
The initial diagnosis was a sprained left knee and sprained right ankle, but the full extent of the injuries likely will not be known until the 36-year-old is re-examined at some point later this week.
