Sometimes it’s hard to tell what an athlete’s personality is like. If you really want to know though, just look at the hairstyle he rocks. These athletes have gone above and beyond the typical haircut and they are not ashamed of it. 9. Anderson Varejao/Robin Lopez   Both of these guys totally rock the Slideshow Bob (Simpsons) look. This offseason scientists are actually  planning on doing research inside their hair to see if we can find any new life. 8. Andrew Bynum Ever since he was traded from the Lakers, Bynum has been growing out his hair. Unfortunately for Bynum, these days he’s garnering more attention for suffering another knee injury this season than for his crazy fro/mop cut. Some days his hair looks ridiculous, but it’s still pretty great. 7. Scott Hartnell Photo Credit: AP/Tom Mihalek The right wing of the Philadelphia Flyers has some mean flow. His hair cannot be contained in his helmet and he has a great hair-beard combination, especially when it’s late into no-shave Stanley Cup Playoff season. 6. (Tie) Tiquan Underwood, Nerlens Noel, Iman Shumpert and Norris Cole Talk about four Gerald look-a-likes from the old Nickelodeon show Hey Arnold (or Vince from Recess). These four all have pretty insane flat tops and they all know how to show it off, bringing back the popular retro haircut. 5. Coco Crisp Photo Credit: AP Photo/Ben Margot Crisp has the definition of clown hair when he puts his baseball hat on for each game. He has too much hair to know what to do with it, yet he still makes it work. Now we know why he had cornrows for all of those years. 4. Jared Allen via withleather.uproxx.com I don’t know how he does it, but Jared Allen pulls off the ugly mullet so well. Only he could make such a terrible haircut look so badass. 3. Chris Anderson (AP Photo) Birdman is not afraid of how people portray him, as demonstrated by his insane Mohawk. The hairstyle fits his image perfectly and why he has it makes complete. 2. Domata Peko Photo Credit: Rob Carr/AP It’s hard to watch a Bengals game and not see Peko’s hair. It makes him stand out like a sore thumb, and makes him look like a lion. Be honest, who wouldn’t want to look like that? 1. Troy Polamalu via multivu.prnewswire.com The number one spot has to go to the “Head & Shoulders” star. He is on those commercials for a reason with the most insane hair in all of sports. -Keenehan
