The Pau Gasol trade rumors have been going on for the last year or so, but with Gasol a poor fit in new coach Mike D’Antoni’s offense, the rumors are getting very hot. The Lakers are playing well as of late, but that does not change the fact that Gasol is a bad fit for the team. The Raptors have long been rumored to be interested in Gasol and the Raptors have a lot of pieces that could entice the Lakers to moving their All-Star big man. Mike D’Antoni’s system is best when it includes a sweet shooting power forward and the Raptors happen to have one of the better ones in the NBA, in Andrea Bargnani, who they are very willing to move. Bargnani has played center most of his career, but is simply a power forward, who has been playing out of position and although he has his weaknesses (rebounding, defense), he is the perfect player for their system. The Raptors on the other-hand are desperate for inside scoring and have needed a go-to post player since Chris Bosh left. So a trade is poss...

Video: Amir Johnson obviously double-dribbles, not one NBA ref blows the whistle

Someone needs to give NBA refs a refresher course on what it means for a player to double-dribble. You know, dribbling the ball, then stopping, then dribbling the ball again is a no-no in the NBA. However, it seems the refs during last night's Raptors-Blazers game forgot all about it. During the first quarter of the game, Raptors' Amir Johnson took did a blatant double...

Amir Johnson gets away with awful double dribble

The Toronto Raptors are 8-2 in their last 10 games (12-20 overall) after last night’s 102-79 win over the Blazers. In the first quarter of Wednesday night’s game, Amir Johnson showed why NBA rules do not apply to him.Johnson takes one dribble to his right, picks the ball up, shot fakes to get J.J. Amir Johnson Gets Away With Walk (GIF)

Amir Johnson had 17 points in the Toronto Raptors win over the Trail Blazers last night.  After watching this Gif you will probably wonder why he didn't have 15 points.  Not sure how the refs let him get away with this walk.  I guess the jump stop must have fooled them all. Check Out Jeanie Buss’ New Bling — Courtesy Of Phil Jackson

Former Chicago Bulls and two-time Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson is used to receiving rings — so many that he actually ran out of fingers — so it must have felt weird to put one on someone else for a change. Jeanie Buss (daughter of Lakers owner Jerry Buss), Jackson’s longtime girlfriend, tweeted a photo of a bling-tastic engagement ring, which means Jackson is...

Hickson:Johnson's reaction is priceless.... (Courtesy of Holdout Sports)

Kobe Bryant's words ring true in Boston

Was Kobe talking about the Lakers or Celtics? After the Lakers 103-99 home loss to the Sixers last night, Kobe Bryant had this to say about his team's performance: We're old as $h!t. What do you want? We just got to figure out how to play when we don't have that energy. We got to change things up a little bit defensively. We got to figure out what we want to do offensively...
