After a long journey brought on by his dream to play in the NBA, Amath M'Baye (ah-MOTT' EM'-bye) finally feels right where he belongs at Oklahoma.
M'Baye left his native France because he thought playing in the U.S. would give him a better chance of getting to the NBA. It led him to a prep school in California, then a stint at Wyoming before he transferred to play for the Sooners.
Oklahoma believes M'Baye can be one of the missing pieces in getting the program back to the NCAA tournament after a down stretch that included NCAA sanctions and Jeff Capel being fired.
In his second season, Lon Kruger says returning to the NCAA tournament is a legitimate goal. The Sooners open the season at home Nov. 11 against Louisiana-Monroe.

NORMAN, Okla. — Head coach Bob Stoops got on the conference call again this morning to review the loss to Notre Dame, and Sooners Illustrated has all the discussion.
Big brothers always like to pick on their little brothers to show them who's boss around the house. That’s the way it seems with Oklahoma and Iowa State.
The Sooners have roughed up the Cyclones 69 times in 76 meetings. Little brother occasionally gets in a lick (five wins for ISU) to keep big brother in check. A couple of times they came to a draw (1936 and 1981), and...

On July 1, 2012, the Atlantic 10 and Virginia Commonwealth officially tied the knot as the Rams became a full-fledged member.
Exciting times for the Richmond school and its men’s basketball program, in particular, which takes its talents to the top seven league.
Since 2002 when Jeff Capel took over, the Rams have been on a roll. Capel was 79 up and just 41 down in his four seasons...
