Troy Murphy has been kicking around the NBA for 10 years. He is a veteran to the league, but a rookie to the Lakers. In limited time this season, Murphy has averaged just over three rebounds and six assists per game. He’s clearly still getting used to the L.A. offense, which is totally understandable. Something tells me that last night’s game will inspire him to get caught up a bit more quickly. After all, does he really want to be taking balls to the face every night? Have a look at this video that Ball Don’t Lie shared with us:
Like the scene in Rocky II when Micky slapped Rocky right across the face, Murphy didn’t even see that coming. Did I just imply that Murphy has half a dozen more championship fights left in him? Oops. On the positive side, it’s much better to take a basketball to the face than to take one of these to the face or to the side of the head.
