It seems like we’re always dwelling on 1999 here at TOK, but trust me the other occasions were much more joyous. Seven of the first 16 picks in the 1999 NBA Draft turned into All-Stars, including Ron Artest, who was selected just one pick after the Knicks. What did they do with their 15th overall pick? Read on to find out. It was the franchise’s highest pick in almost a decade, but it might as well have been thrown out. Frederic Weis became the first international player drafted in the first round by the New York Knicks, but luckily for them, he never set foot on an NBA floor. This video sums up why. Yep, that was Weis with the front row seat to Vince Carter’s lower region. Unfortunately, this is what the Frenchman is most notable for.
