It would appear that the New York Knicks are for real. After raising some eyebrows by starting the year on a hot streak, the Knickerbockers have not slowed down much. Currently sitting atop the Eastern Conference standings, New York appears like the real deal in no small part thanks to Tyson Chandler. The Knicks’ center is making the team a true contender in the East with his tenacious defense, and he’s also helping his team weather injuries to key cogs Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire. NESN.com NBA writer Ben Watanabe stopped by the podcast on Monday to discuss New York’s recent run of success with NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette. The two also discussed the Lakers’ struggles, the Celtics’ competition in the Atlantic division and much more. Listen in the player below, or subscribe on iTunes to download it there.
