Found December 12, 2011 on Beantown Banter OLD:

For this edition of MLM, I asked for the opinions of my fellow writers here at Beantown Banter. Your fabulous owner, Stephen Bailey, suggested Raef LaFrentz. So I said, what the hell? Let’s do the Raefer.

LaFrentz played in Boston from 2003-06 after being traded there from the Dallas Mavericks in a package that sent beloved star Antoine Walker to Dallas. Needless to say, Raef was familiar with Celtics captain Paul Pierce, as they played their college basketball together at the University of Kansas. His best season in green came in 2004-05, when he averaged 11.1 PPG, 6.8 RPG, and shot a hefty 36.4% from behind the arc.

On draft night 2006, he was shipped off to Portland for Theo Ratliff and Sebastian Telfair. He spent three seasons with the Trail Blazers before retiring after the 2008-09 season.

In his 10 year NBA career, LaFrentz averaged totals of 10.1 PPG, 6.1 RPG, and 1.1 APG. His best season came in 2001-02 with the Denver Nuggets, when he compiled stats of 14.9 PPG and 7.4 RPG.

On Rajon Rondo’s stubborn temper and the Pierce-ian path he must follow

Rajon Rondo is a complex person, a dream within a dream within a dream, consisting of layers of architecture that only make perfect sense to him. We’ve heard rumors of Rondo’s stubbornness, the way he can occasionally be a thumb tack into the side of teammates and coaches. He entered the NBA and immediately wanted things done his way. He butts heads with Doc Rivers. He...

Jeff Green was dealing with fatigue

As pointed out on Monday, Jeff Green hasn't been practicing since his signing due to an unknown issue regarding his physical. Since the team didn't want to discuss it, thoughts immediately went to some of the worst possible ideas such as a heart issue or something internal. All of that can now be put to bed, thanks to Gary Washburn.Jeff Green said docs were wary...

Pierce is passing the torch to Rondo

Paul Pierce has been heaping praise on Rajon Rondo all day long. First at the Media Day appearances and later on WEEI. The Truth wants everyone to know this is Rondo's team. It's clearly a tactical approach to instill confidence in the young point guard.

Remember the Celtics’ $18 million backup small forward? He’s not yet cleared for full contact

I’m not worried about this yet. Green says he’s “all good.” He’s okay enough to participate in portions of the practice. But at what point do these odd medical issues turn troublesome? If he was really “all good,” he’d be participating fully in practice. And I don’t believe for a second that Green declined to ask what was wrong...

Your Morning Dump... Where Bird could steal West from the Celtics

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. As free-agent forward David West and the Boston Celtics work to complete a difficult sign-and-trade deal, the Indiana Pacers have positioned themselves to sign the power forward should talks with the Celtics...

Where the hell is Jeff Green?

Twitter / @scott_souza: Danny Ainge told Doc River ... via kwout I'm really not sure exactly what is going on here.  It's not like Jeff Green has been around for years and knows the system.  He could use a little time with his teammates.  Some of you on Twitter have been speculating that Green is still part of trade talks.  Which I suppose is possible.  I guess...

Your Morning Dump... Where Rondo's all grow'd up (Part 2)

AP via Daylife.com Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. If Rondo is sincere when he acknowledges his need to change and grow, then the teams that have shied away from him in trade talks will feel like genuine fools in the coming years. But...

The Next "Big" Move

Danny Ainge made a valid bid to get David West in a Celtics uniform but West ultimately wanted more money. The Celtics were offering in the neighborhood of $8.4 million per year. My guess is that when a guy like West sees DeAndre Jordan get an offer sheet of $10 million per year, he and his agent had to reconsider what Boston was able to offer. The failed acquisition of West should...

Boston Celtics Near Deal For David West; Chauncey Billups Threatens Retirement

Doesn’t it feel like David West sort of belongs on the Celtics? He has a little dog in him, and maybe it’s just us, but he seems like a great fit up there. Luckily for Boston fans, Danny Ainge agrees with us, and as of now, the Celtics are on the verge of adding the [...]

Lakers now favorites for Dwight Howard, Celtics favorites for CP3

With the news that the Lakers are out of the Chris Paul hunt and that they've shifted to acquiring Dwight Howard (which they will thanks to the NBA owners idiotic vetoing of the original CP3 deal) expect Danny Ainge to make another strong push for CP3. We already know the cost for CP3's buddy David West is Jermaine O'Neal and JaJuan Johnson.
