Utah Jazz: Okur makes lockout leap to Turkish club

Jazz center Mehmet Okur is returning to his homeland so that he can play professional basketball.
Agent Marc Fleisher confirmed Wednesday that Okur has signed with Turkish pro team Turk Telekom Ankara. The native of Yalova, Turkey could join the squad as soon as this weekend, and his contract features an option that will allow him to immediately return to the NBA as soon as the league’s lockout ends.
