The Washington Wizards are finding it hard to get that first win of the season. Sitting at 0-12 has to be embarrassing enough. But for Wizards forward Jan Vesely, it gets even worse. To call Vesely a bust would be an understatement. Washington took him with the sixth overall pick in last year’s draft and he hasn’t even put up numbers that would be satisfactory for an undrafted player. He’s probably only still in the league because the Wizards aren’t playing for anything and are hoping his hard work in practice helps him mature into a better player. Right now, it’s not looking good. After last night’s game against the Spurs, where Vesely failed to score in 8 minutes of playing time but somehow managed to notch four fouls, he brought his season total for personal fouls up to 34, while his total points on the year stayed at 29. He’s shooting 43% from the floor and an abysmal 23% (3-13) from the free throw line. The fact that this guy still gets to play should probably clue ...

Is Shabazz Muhammad The Prize at the End of All These Wizards Losses?

Wednesday Wizards Report Sad, but it has already come down to looking at the 2013 lottery for Wizards fans   Losing is never fun no matter how you look at it. Losing leaves a bitter taste in your mouth and after 12 straight losses to open the season, our mouths as Wizards fans have quite a disgusting taste in them. And with no return date set for John Wall and tough games against...

Bradley Beal On Team’s Struggles: “It’s Like Depression”

John Wall’s absence has not helped Washington’s struggles.credit: washingtonpost.com It’s still early in the NBA season, yet far enough in where every team should have at least one win. Well, unless you’re the Washington Wizards. So far, the team is 0-11, making them the worst team in the league. A lot of people didn’t think they would be much of a threat in the East....

The 2012 Washington Wizards in one hilarious GIF

Wizards 84, Trail Blazers 82

The Washington Wizards earned their first victory after starting the season with 12 straight losses, getting 19 points from Jordan Crawford in an 84-82 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night. Washington survived a scoreless 6:47 in the fourth when Crawford hit on a 3-pointer with 2:06 to play, and the Wizards finally took the 84-82 lead on Emeka Okafor's two...

Wizards rookie will finally get his chance at Ginobili

When I talked to Washington Wizards rookie Bradley Beal during preseason, he spoke very highly of fellow shooting guard Manu Ginobili, even calling him dynamic and dangerous. Beal had hoped to get the opportunity to play against Ginobili that night, but with the Spurs all-star guard sidelined with an injury, Beal instead faced and struggled against Danny Green, with the 19-year...

Wizards finally get their first win

After their worst start in history, the Washington Wizards became a national punch line. On TNT, Charles Barkley compared them with the Washington Generals, and a local newspaper had photos of fans wearing paper bags over their heads at Monday's 26-point loss to San Antonio.

Andray Blatche blasts the Wizards, says it’s good to be with a winning organization

The seven seasons Andray Blatche spent with the Washington Wizards were erratic, to say the least. The power forward was always seen as having a ton of potential, but he never fulfilled it for various reasons that included being out of shape and getting into trouble off the court. Now with the Brooklyn Nets, Blatche seems overjoyed to be out of the nation’s capital. According to...

Let's Face It, These Boys Never Had a Chance

"They carved us up pretty good tonight"                                                                                               -- Randy Wittman If you didn’t get a chance to watch last night’s contest between the Washington Wizards and the San Antonio Spurs, let me set it up for...

Andray Blatche: The Wizards Tried To End Me

Following last night’s 96-89 win over the Knicks, Andray Blatche took to twitter to write, “Feels good to be part of a winning organization” – a subtle shot at his former team, the 0-12 Washington Wizards. But it didn’t stop there. The Nets forward proceeded to do a radio interview with Holden Kushner and Danny Rouhier on 106.7 The Fan where he called out the Wizards for...

Spurs keep Wizards winless

WASHINGTON -- The Spurs are experienced and savvy and have good team chemistry. And, in terms of their record, win-heavy. In other words, everything the Washington Wizards are not. When the two met Monday, San Antonio went with a balanced approach in racking up its latest road victory. The winless Wizards' record remains decidedly tilted in the wrong direction. Boris...

Spurs 118, Wizards 92

WASHINGTON -- Boris Diaw paced seven double-figure scorers with 16 points, and Tony Parker scored 15 as the San Antonio Spurs enhanced their NBA-best road record with a 118-92 win over the Nene-less Washington Wizards on Monday night. Tiago Splitter had 15 points and a season-high 12 rebounds, Tim Duncan scored 14 and Gary Neal 13 as the Spurs (12-3) improved to 8-1 on the road...

The Wizards Win A Game! The Wizards Win A Game!

I was kind of rooting for the winless streak to continue, if I’m being honest. Alas, Washington beat the now 6-9 Trailblazers by two at home. (More like FAILblazers, AMIRITE?!) Top picks of recent vintage Bradley Beal and Jan Vesely contributed next to nothing (the latter didn’t even play), so this isn’t much of an indicator for the future. Speaking of, Jordan Crawford led...
