It’s such an exciting time to be a New York Knickerbockers fan. The Knicks hold a 2-0 lead over the Celtics in the 1st round, J.R. Smith was recently named NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year, and Carmelo Anthony is playing the best and most fearless basketball of his career. These things have directly led to the success of this year’s team. Even Coach Woodson...

At the end of the half, things were bad for the Knicks. New York had been averaging just fewer than 12 turnovers per game in the first three matches in the series. Today was a different story, as they had 12 turnovers in the first half. In addition to their sloppy ball handling and passing, the Knicks were shooting atrociously. A team...

Today in Boston the New York Knicks have the chance to sweep the Boston Celtics and head home for as long rest until the beginning of Round 2 of the NBA playoffs against the Hawks or the Pacers. Today the New York Knicks will be without the services of J.R. Smith, who was suspended by the league, due to a flagrant 2 foul against Jason Terry in game 3.
The drama of Phil Jackson’s next job is back in the news. I guess fishing in Montana on a beautiful day with an accomplished career and money in the bank is not Phil’s idea of retirement! The living legend is interested in coming back to the bench or a rumored front office position with an NBA franchise. Who will take the bait lure him out of his fishing waders?

BOSTON — Carmelo Anthony was so reserved in complimenting Raymond Felton that the Knicks point guard, seated less than two feet away, could not help laughing. Felton had just finished dicing up the Celtics in a decisive playoff victory, and the best Anthony could manage to say was that his teammate’s 15-point, 10-assist performance was “what he’s supposed to do.”
Down 2-0, Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics return home tonight to take on Carmelo Anthony's New York Knicks. So far this series the second half hasn't been too kind to the Celtics as they've managed to score just 48 combined points between each game's third and fourth quarters. While Boston has played really well in spurts, they've yet to put together a complete...

Knicks 90 Celtics 76
The Knicks manhandled the Boston Celtics in game three tonight, winning by a final score of 90-76. Coming into the series, the Knicks were known as a team that can live and die by the three-point shot. The Knicks were a team capable of scoring 110 points at any time, and while they are still very capable of that, their identity has changed...
Two games into the first-round matchup between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks, and the most talked about players are Carmelo Anthony, J.R. Smith and Jeff Green.
That wasn't always the case. Around the turn of the century, two other players, who are both involved in this series, ruled the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.
