Image: L.A. Times Kendall Marshall may not be the highest leaper in the league but that doesn’t stop him from being effective. Marshall’s shot is so strange-looking and always seems vulnerable to being blocked, though he’s stroking the three very efficiently: He was 3-for-3 from deep on Sunday and is on track to the be NBA’s leader in three-point field goal percentage. The same goes for the occasions when the grounded player attacks the rim. He’s far from a high-fly act, yet he’s able to use his smarts to finish when in the paint. And at the end of the day, that’s all that matters. During Sunday’s game against Chicago, Marshall drove towards a crowd of Bulls players and successfully faked a pass to Jordan Hill in order to free up enough room for himself to finish the finger-roll layup. The 22-year-old has most definitely been a steal for the Lakers so far. He has another year on his contract after this season, too, albeit non-guaranteed. .bottom-of-post-responsive { width: 300px; height: 250px; } @media(min-width: 500px) { .bottom-of-post-responsive { width: 300px; height: 250px; } } @media(min-width: 800px) { .bottom-of-post-responsive { width: 336px; height: 280px; } } The post VIDEO: Kendall Marshall uses pass fake to finish sneaky layup versus Chicago appeared first on

Lakers Rumors: Steve Nash planning to retire after this season?

Steve Nash made a triumphant return to the court earlier this week and celebrated his 40th birthday in style by becoming the first 40-year-old since Michael Jordan in 2003 to lead an NBA game in scoring. However, despite the success the Canadian has seen so far – albeit only in two games – Nash may be planning to retire after this season is over. According to Mitch Lawrence from...

VIDEO: Steve Nash records 19 points and 5 assists on his 40th birthday

It’s great to have Steve Nash back. Last night, on his 40th birthday, Nash looked like the player we all thought we’d be seeing when he signed with the Lakers in 2012. It’s still early days, though it looks like Nash might’ve finally reached a place...

Unfortunately for Nash, that’s the same knee/leg that he fractured in 2012 and ended up causing all of the...
