We all know Kevin Durant has quickly become one of the most dangerous scorers in the NBA over the past few years, but this season he has expanded his game. Though he has always been a prolific scorer, Durant has made a point of throwing down more huge dunks whenever he has the chance. On Wednesday night, he did it again. Late in the second quarter of Oklahoma City’s 117-97 win over the Denver Nuggets, Durant took a pass on the left wing, then on just two dribbles got all the way to the rum for a thunderous slam. He blew by Kenneth Faried on the play, and the second year forward simply didn’t have a chance. As the above video shows, Danilo Gallinari had a chance to step up and try to stop the three-time All-Star, but all declined. Frankly that was a smart decision. There was nothing Gallinari could have done except posed for the poster he would have inevitably ended up on.
