Kobe maybe hasn’t been the best teammate at times, maybe hasn’t said or done the right things or made the most prudent decisions on and off the court during his career, but the fact remains, he is one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
Doesn’t matter if you love him or hate him, you have to respect the fact when it comes to his job, no one can question his dedication to his craft.
It is borderline obsessive, his motivation to be great and win championships. A lot of athletes, especially in the emotional state Kobe was in, would have blew off speaking to the media. We have seen athlete blow off the media for a lot less things than a devestating injury. But Kobe is a professional and answered all the questions (some very stupid) while holding back tears.
Here is video of the injury.
