Passing the ball may be a lost art in the NBA, but the old mantra of everyone touching the ball before a short still rings true in San Antonio with the Spurs being one of the top passing teams in the league. Last night, against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Spurs put on a passing display on one possession showing the Spurs' perfect spacing and unselfishness in looking for the best shot. It all started with a sweet behind-the-back pass from Nando De Colo to Tiago Splitter on a pick-and-roll. Splitter then hit James Anderson cutting from the baseline. With Anderson seeing he had three people waiting for him in the paint, including Matt Bonner's defender, who had been sagging off him to help defend Splitter, Anderson found Bonner for the wide open jumper. While it's not the easiest two points, it shows how all the players working together to find the best shot. While Splitter and Anderson could've forced up shots at the basket in hopes of getting fouled, they rightfully settled for an open jumper.
