Found October 09, 2012 on Project Spurs:

San Antonio Spurs' Stephen Jackson is known for his clutch-shooting, intensity on the court, and brashness whenever he steps foot on the hardwood. Off the court, he is also a pretty good rapper and has an upcoming album set to hit the shelves.

But who really is Jackson? Is he the intense player on the court or is he the rapper? According to Jackson there is a difference between the basketball player and the rapper where he goes by the name, "Stak5."

Jackson admits his rapping and songs reveal the true Stephen Jackson where he can be normal and away from the cameras.

Check out "Stak5" speaking with News 4 WOAI's David Chancellor about his rap career, hard living in Port Arthur, Texas, singing in the church choir, why Tony Parker's rap career didn't take off, and more.

Other teams interested in Spurs' Curry

If you’re like me, seeing Eddy Curry on the Spurs’ preseason roster was a bit of a surprise. We all know how much help the Spurs need in the post, but Curry has been considered a disappointment since he was drafted fourth overall in the 2001 Draft. Curry has a documented history of being overweight and out of shape, and he’s had some heart problems that have kept him out...

De Colo has support from teammates as he adjusts to NBA

On Saturday, San Antonio Spurs guard Nando De Colo made his preseason debut as the Spurs defeated Montepaschi Siena by 29 points in the AT&T Center. For De Colo, playing an Italian club was a familiar experience, though playing an Italian team in the United States may have been something that he hadn’t imagined before. Before De Colo scored two points, dished three assists...

Spurs’ Joseph knows defense is key to earning time on floor

Cory Joseph led the charge in Las Vegas at the 2012 NBA Summer League for the San Antonio Spurs. De Colo on Spurs training camp: 'It really is something else'

For international players finally finding themselves in NBA training camps, which started last week, it signals one of the finals steps in the journey from making it from international prospect to NBA-caliber player. For Nando De Colo, he knows he's here now in San Antonio after being drafted in 2009, but nothing is taken for granted. The Spurs have a stockpile of guards...

Video: Ex-Spur Bowen dances to some DJ Kool at NBA 3X

Former San Antonio Spurs defensive ace Bruce Bowen might have been able to lock down the league's best perimeter players during his time in the NBA but it seems he also can cut a rug. Bowen, who helped promote NBA 3X in Spain, got caught up in a dance off with a participant when this happened. Check out Bowen getting down to "Let me clear my throat," by DJ Kool.

Q+A with Viktor Sanikidze

The San Antonio Spurs got their first preseason win over Montepaschi Siena beating the Italian team 106-77. And though the game was a complete blow-out for the Spurs, fans also got to see forward Viktor Sanikidze who the Spurs own his rights since trading for him with the Hawks at the 2004 NBA Draft. Sanikidze finished with five points and after the game, Project Spurs caught...

What are the odds the Spurs win it all?

For those of you who really feel like the Spurs can win it all this year, you could make a nice chunk of change if you’re convicted enough to put some money on it. The Spurs are currently at 18/1 to win the title (h/t Dan McCarney, Express News) this year on the popular betting site Bovada. This puts them tied for fifth with the Boston Celtics. The best odds to win it all?...
