Bush League Chronicle:
On the eve of Thanksgiving, the Orlando Magic have an ongoing tradition of having their star players carve a turkey as part of the post-game interview festivities. This year's version involved Glen Davis and Nikola Vucevic.Take a look at how each player approaches "carving" the bird. While Davis simply rips one of the legs off, Vucevic takes a more subtle approach, showing his veteran teammate the way it is properly done.Given his technique, it's almost hard to believe Vucevic spent most of his formative years in Switzerland and Belgium, where Davis has enjoyed Thanksgiving here in America from infancy.Via Pro Basketball Talk

‘Twas the night before Thanksgiving, and the Orlando Magic had just defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 105-94. Forward Glen Davis was named player of the game and got to carve the turkey, although I don’t think this is the proper way to do it:
Davis and teammate Nikola Vucevic were co-honored after scoring 19 and 21, respectively, to go along...
ORLANDO, Fla. -- With it being their fourth game in five nights, and with Jameer Nelson forced to leave during the second quarter because of a sprained left foot, the Orlando Magic knew they would need a lot of help from a lot of different sources to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers.
Nelson's injury led to E'Twaun Moore having to play 30 minutes for the second night in a row...
There are few things that say Thanksgiving is coming like Orlando Magic forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis taking a bite out of a turkey leg.
After tonight’s victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, Davis and Nikola Vucevic got the chance to chow down on some turkey and well, Glen dug in pretty deep:

Victor Oladipo threw down a monster dunk over Al Horford and Paul Millsap during the Orlando Magic-Atlanta Hawks game Tuesday night. Watch as Oladipo crosses his defender over and then jams on the two bigs who met him at the rim. The post Video: Victor Oladipo Monster Dunk on Atlanta Hawks Bigs appeared first on Basketball Bicker.
After the Orlando Magic stormed to victory over the Philadelphia 76ers their power forward, Glen Davis, took a huge bite out of a turkey. Before the game Davis and Andrew Nicholson carved the turkey as they were voted on by the fans to do so.
As you can see it was a pretty big bite.
Jameer Nelson injured his foot in the Magic’s 105-94 win against the 76ers on Wednesday night. He had three points and four assists in 12 minutes before the injury. The team labeled the injury as a sprain, but team officials said that Nelson would be evaluated further.
Rotoworld.com reported a story from the Orlando Sentinal that Orlando Magic guard Jameer Nelson remains questionable...
Somewhere, Vince Wilfork nodding his head in approval.
One year after the Patriots nose tackle showed how a real man eats a turkey leg following New England’s Thanksgiving rout of the Jets, a former Boston athlete put on a performance at the table that would have made the big man proud.

Arron Afflalo sat at halftime with a paltry three points on 1-for-5 shooting. Philadelphia had just cut into Orlando's 15-point lead with a 10-0 run to close the first half. Both teams were shooting the ball extremely well with the Magic at 54.8 percent shooting from the floor and the Sixers at 45.2 percent shooting with five made 3-pointers already...
With almost one month of the regular season completed, the Philadelphia 76ers’ Michael Carter-Williams and the Orlando Magic’s Victor Oladipo have emerged as the leading candidates for 2013-14 NBA Rookie of the Year honors.
Carter-Williams probably leads that race.
But Oladipo and his teammates made sure Oladipo at least has a 1-0 edge in NBA games against Carter-Williams....
The Orlando Magic have the look of a pretty good team down the line, and Victor Oladipo is a big reason why the franchise’s future is so bright.
Oladipo put his complete skill set on display in what might have been the play of the night. After crossing over Jeff Teague at the top of the key, the Magic rookie drove to the basket and flushed a nasty dunk over Paul Millsap and Al Horford.
We are unveiling a new pregame series at Project Spurs, where Quixem Ramirez dives into the San Antonio Spurs' opposing team's SportVU data, mostly because he has no life. SportVU, powered by camera technology in all 29 NBA arenas, tracks miles per hour, distance traveled, touches, where they touched the ball, how long they touch the ball, and lots of other basketball minutia...

In an 82-game schedule, some nights are going to be frustrating. Some nights are going to be long and the opponent is going to get under your skin. Some nights the other team is simply going to be better than you. You will not have a lot of answers for why things went wrong so suddenly or why the game ended up the way you did.
The Magic certainly...
