This is an unfortunate internal squabble for Wizards fans. Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

John Wall needs to be needed.

But while he recovers (he’s out for at least another 5-6 weeks), the Wizards are rolling. After all, they have won five of their last six games. But tonight they travel to Boston to take on the Celtics. However, it’s their win over Toronto six days ago that’s causing drama.

Bradley Beal would score 27 points in the fourth quarter. And ultimately, the Wizards would hold on to win by three. That’s not all, though. It’s how the Wizards would win. 30 team assists. That’s three-zero. That led to big man Marcin Gortat sending out this tweet.

Wall, however, wouldn’t take too kindly to that. And he’s not afraid to say it.

It was more just shock to hear it from him, understanding he gets the most assists from me and the most spoon-fed baskets ever.

But he doesn’t stop there.

It was funny to me at first, just to see some of the things that people were saying and certain type of comments. But I’ve seen these guys put in a lot of work every day, and we always say the motto is next man up no matter what. I think we moved the ball well early in the season, we just couldn’t make shots. And we couldn’t defend at all. I think now guys are stepping up and the first unit and second unit are playing very well.

Oh, but that’s not all.

But it was kind of shocking to hear a couple people say the ball is moving a lot better, when that’s what I pride myself off of, being more happy when my teammates are scoring than I am.

For what it’s worth, Gortat doesn’t see things the same way.

Well, my comment is that: it’s clearly the whole drama that was stirred up from a few days ago, a week ago, whatever.”

Oh, but that’s not all.

“We talk about team win with 30 assists a game, everybody played for each other. We enjoyed the game. And basically I see that, you know, he felt different way. He felt it was a different way and he came back with that kind of a comment. So, now we got to ask each other questions who’s attacking who?

Buckle up, basketball fans. This probably isn’t over.
