Warriors head coach Mark Jackson wanted to trim back his starters' minutes but this definitely wasn't what he had in mind: Just 2 minutes 46 seconds into the team's 115-89 victory over the Lakers on Friday in Shanghai center Andrew Bogut started experiencing spasms in his lower back and had to be pulled from the game. Bogut took two blows from behind as he backed down Pau Gasol then turned to sweep in a left-handed hook shot. When the big man retreated to the defensive end he grimaced and reached for his back as it appeared to seize on him. Jackson saw the discomfort immediately and called for Marreese Speights to replace Bogut. When Bogut checked out he walked past the bench and hobbled to the locker room with head athletic trainer JoHan Wang chasing. Bogut did not return to the game. In fact he was not seen again on the bench. "There's no concern" Jackson told reporters in his postgame news conference. "He actually waved me off and wanted to stay in the ballgame but we've got plenty of time to make sure he's healthy and whole and that's important closing out this preseason." While Jackson's comment might calm some of the worry among Warriors fans nothing can completely ease minds when it comes to Bogut's health.
