Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut said he will not return this season. Bogut, who suffered a fractured ankle in late January while with the Milwaukee Bucks, told the San Francisco Chronicle he doesn't want to risk a setback in his rehabilitation. "The most important thing is to get the bone right. If I come back at 99 percent, and the bone is unsettled, and something shards off, I'm in big trouble," Bogut said. "It would be nice to play this season, but it's not going to happen."Bogut also said he is unsure if he will be able to play for Australia in the Olympic Games this summer in London. The top overall pick in the 2005 draft, the 7-foot Bogut was part of a five-player deal between the Warriors and Bucks at the NBA trade deadline. Bogut was averaging 11.3 points and 8.3 rebounds when he was injured. He had averaged a double-double in each of the previous three seasons. For his career, Bogut has averaged 12.7 points and 9.3 boards.
